Camping Les Casteillets

Camping Les Casteillets ist ein kleiner, freundlicher Drei-Sterne-Campingplatz in Saint Jean Pla de Corts, in der ruhigen katalanischen Landschaft der Pyrénées-Orientales. Der familiengeführte Platz empfängt seit 1998 Gäste und liegt zwischen dem Mittelmeer und den Pyrenäen, mit Blick auf das Albères-Massiv und den Canigou, den heiligen Berg der Katalanen. Verkehrslärm gibt es hier nicht, nur Vogelgesang.

Der Campingplatz verfügt über 54 großzügige Stellplätze von etwa 100 m², sonnig oder teilbeschattet und klar abgegrenzt, für Zelte, Wohnwagen und Wohnmobile. Ein Fahrzeug ist inbegriffen und ein 10-A-Stromanschluss ist verfügbar. Eine Servicestation für Wohnmobile befindet sich auf dem Platz.

Es gibt eine große Auswahl an Mietunterkünften für jedes Budget, von der Vacanciale und der Cabane bis hin zum Chalet Confort für Paare sowie den Standard- und Confort-Mobilheimen für Familien. Die Premium-Mobilheime bieten bis zu 40 m² mit drei Schlafzimmern, und die meisten Einheiten sind klimatisiert.

An heißen Tagen können Sie sich am beheizten Swimmingpool entspannen, der von Mitte April bis Mitte Oktober geöffnet ist, mit Sonnenliegen und Sonnensegeln, während die Kleinsten das Planschbecken genießen. Sie können sich auch im Fluss direkt neben dem Campingplatz abkühlen. Es gibt eine Bar und ein Restaurant, einen kleinen Lebensmittelladen, einen Kinderspielplatz und ein Multisportfeld. In der Hochsaison bietet das Animationsteam ein abwechslungsreiches Programm mit Zumba, Wassergymnastik, Fußball und Wasserball, Hüpfburgen und Kinderaktivitäten am Tag sowie Karaoke, Pétanque-Turnieren, Nachtschwimmen, Themenabenden und Kabarett am Abend.

Weitere Dienstleistungen umfassen Waschmaschinen und Trockner, gebührenpflichtiges WLAN auf dem gesamten Campingplatz, eine Ladestation für Elektrofahrzeuge sowie die kostenlose Ausleihe von Tischtennisschlägern, Gesellschaftsspielen und Büchern an der Rezeption. Hunde und Katzen sind kostenlos willkommen.

Two lakes lie just 2 km from the campsite and can be reached on foot. In summer they offer supervised swimming, a wakepark, a treetop adventure course, pedal boats, inflatable water games and the lakeside restaurant La Guinguette du Lac. A 2 km path around the lake is lovely for a walk or bike ride, with the Canigou in view.

Céret, the town of artists once home to Picasso, is about 4 km away. Visit the Museum of Modern Art, the medieval Devil's Bridge over the Tech and the old town with its fountains and cobbled streets. The Saturday morning market runs all year, and in late May the town celebrates its famous cherries. The Tech cycle path links Céret with the Mediterranean.

The thermal baths of Le Boulou are 5 km away and those of Amélie les Bains around 12 km. The sea is about 30 minutes by car, with Argelès sur Mer 25 km away and Collioure, Port Vendres and Banyuls along the Côte Vermeille. Spain is only 15 minutes away: shop in Le Perthus and La Jonquera, or continue to the Costa Brava, Figueres and Girona. In winter the nearest ski resorts are about an hour and a half away.

Rentals are available from 16:00 on arrival day and must be vacated by 10:00 on departure day, after a check out inspection booked at reception. Pitches are available from 12:00 and must be vacated by 12:00. If you arrive late, please call reception and they will tell you how to settle in.

Rental guests clean the unit themselves before leaving, or can book a cleaning package at reception. Bed linen and blankets are not provided but can be rented. A baby kit can be borrowed on request. One parking space is included on your plot, and you may only park on your own pitch.

Individual charcoal and electric barbecues are not allowed. Pets must be identified and vaccinated, one animal per pitch, and they cannot be left alone. Dogs of category 1 and 2 are not accepted. Pets are not allowed at the pool. The pool is not supervised, swim shorts are not allowed, and in season a campsite wristband is required. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Visitors must register at reception and do not have access to the pool.

Reception speaks French, English, Spanish and German.
