Description

Tucked away in the serene countryside of Salento, yet only a few minutes from the turquoise waters of the Bay of Turks, Agriturismo Fontanelle is a peaceful rural retreat that seamlessly blends nature, tradition, and modern comfort. Whether you’re traveling in a campervan, pitching a tent, or simply seeking a break from the city, this welcoming eco-campsite near Otranto is the perfect place to slow down and soak up the best of southern Italy.

The campsite features spacious grassy pitches (about 60 square meters each), set beneath the cooling shade of a centuries-old pine forest—ideal for relaxing afternoons listening to the sounds of cicadas and birdsong. Each pitch comes with electric hook-ups (4 amps) and outdoor lighting, while guests enjoy access to newly renovated bathroom facilities, including hot showers, accessible toilets, and family-friendly amenities.

A highlight of the site is its commitment to sustainability. The on-site organic shop and café (open in summer) offer a taste of Salento’s finest local produce: fresh fruit and vegetables from the campsite’s own garden, artisanal pastries, extra virgin olive oil, tomato sauces, pasta, and other typical delicacies. There’s also a dishwashing area with hot water, laundry facilities, and a motorhome service area.

For children, there’s a shaded play area in the pine forest, while adults can enjoy peaceful picnic spots, outdoor dining, and direct access to the beach, just 400 meters away. With warm hospitality, wide open spaces, and an atmosphere of quiet simplicity, Agriturismo Fontanelle offers an unforgettable camping experience in harmony with nature.
