Azzurro Camping Village - Lake Bracciano

The campsite is located just outside the town of Bracciano, approximately 2–3 km from the historic centre (about 5 minutes by car). Here you will find supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, gelaterias, and small shops overlooking the lake.

A must-visit is Castello Orsini-Odescalchi, one of Italy’s best-preserved Renaissance castles, located roughly 3 km from the campsite. The castle offers panoramic views and a fascinating museum experience.

For cultural excursions, Rome is easily reachable in about 40 minutes by train from Bracciano station, offering access to world-famous monuments such as Colosseum and Vatican City.

Archaeology enthusiasts can explore Etruscan heritage sites within driving distance, including:

The campsite operates seasonally (spring to mid-October). The restaurant is fully open during peak summer, while early and late season services may be limited to weekends.

Motorboats are prohibited on Lake Bracciano, ensuring calm waters and a safe environment for families. The sandy beach area allows easy lake access, making it particularly suitable for children.

Public transport connections from Bracciano make it possible to visit Rome without a car. The peaceful lakeside setting combined with cultural proximity makes this campsite ideal for travellers who want both relaxation and exploration.
