Bardal camping

Bardal Camping is a quiet location in the middle of beautiful Helgeland. We welcome you to enjoy the summer and Bardal with us. This is a campsite run by our family, Kato and Maria, and our two children; Isak, 8 years old, and Håvard, 14 years old.

We have lived in Bardal for 14 years and can't imagine living anywhere else. Here, both young and old thrive with all the opportunities that country life has to offer. Here you won't find stress and hustle, here time stands still and you can take your time to catch your breath.

The campsite has a small shop offering soft drinks, ice cream, food and other goodies. It is also possible to rent one of our three boats. Free Wi-Fi is available at the campsite.

At Bardal Camping the main attraction is fishing, boat rentals and other activities related to the fjord and mountains. There are plenty of fishing spots near the campsite, both in the fjord and in the Bardalselva river which is about a 5 minute walk away.

There are several nice campfire sites along the fjord that are easily accessible by boat. Alternatively, you can go to Borgen, a special old cabin located on a mountain ledge, about a 30-minute walk from the campsite.

The catch can be gutted on the gutting bench on the floating pier. It is free to freeze the fish at the campsite. There are forests and mountains all around us with lots of moose. If fishing doesn't appeal to you, there are many opportunities for a walk in the forest or in the mountains.
