Birkelund Camping

Birkelund Camping is located midway between Oslo and Bergen<br>

and is nicely located along Fylkesvei 50. You will find us between Hol and Aurland, only 20 minutes away from the center of Geilo.

We are a scenic campsite right by Geilo with lush wildlife and diverse outdoor activities. Birkelund camping borders Hallingskarvet National Park and is close to Hardangervidda National Park. We are therefore a natural place to spend the night when visiting Hallingdal, with a short distance to Geilo, Ål and Hallingskarvet.

A perfect starting point for mountain tours, sport fishing, winter sports or if you just want to experience powerful Norwegian nature.

At our campsite we have two service buildings. Both buildings are heated. One service building has showers, washbasins and toilets, separated for women and men. In the other building there are toilets, separate hot/cold water cubicles, showers and a nursing room. In this building there is a kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a hob, microwave, shoe dryer, washing machine, dryer and 2 dishwashers. In the kitchen we have a table with benches where you can eat your meal and have a social stay. For the little ones we have a playground with a sandbox, swings, slides and a small climbing wall. For young and adults we have a trampoline, a swimming pool, table tennis, a petanque court and a recreation area. Birkelund camping is an excellent and natural starting point whether you want to climb, mountain bike, go fishing or just want to go for relaxing walks in untouched and fantastic nature.

Birkelund Camping has a kiosk which is open in high season from 8:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 22:00 In the kiosk you can find information about the activities and sights in Hallingdal. Dogs are, provided they are on a leash, welcome at Birkelund camping.
