Bokerødstranda Camping

Welcome to Bokerødstranda Camping , a scenic and family-friendly campsite just 30 minutes from Halden and 25 minutes from Dals Ed in Sweden. Here you will experience silence, nature experiences and real camping joy – close to both forest, water and wildlife. The campsite is idyllically located just 100 meters from a nice beach by Lake Kornsjøen, and offers accommodation in six fully equipped cabins as well as spacious pitches for tents, campers and caravans .

All cabins are 30 m² and contain two bedrooms, a living room with kitchenette and a bathroom. The bedrooms can accommodate 4–5 people in total, with both bunk beds and a wide bed (120 cm). The cabins are well equipped with, among other things, a TV , coffee maker , microwave , kitchenware for 5 people and cooking facilities. In a separate building there is a shower, washing machine and drying facilities that are available to all guests.

During the summer season, the campsite also has a kiosk/food truck that serves everything from hamburgers and spring rolls to the dish of the day. Here you can also buy coffee, soft drinks and ice cream – perfect after a day in the sun. The food truck is also a social gathering point, and on some weekends there is live music and entertainment – ​​keep an eye on Bokerødstranda’s Facebook page for an updated program!

In addition, the campsite offers boat and canoe rentals , as well as several facilities for active guests who love nature, fishing and outdoor activities. Whether you come with a camper, tent or want to stay in a cabin - here you will find peace, nature and real camping fun!

Bokerødstranda Camping is located in a fantastic natural area close to the border with Sweden and right by Kornsjøen – a lake known for its clear water and good fishing opportunities . Here you can fish for pike and perch, either from land or with one of the rented boats. Fishing permits can be easily purchased online. In addition, the area is known for its rich animal and bird life – if you are lucky you can see both deer and moose , and some nights you can even hear wolves howling in the distance .

For the active, there are many hiking and cycling trails in the area. The area around Halden – Kornsjø – Ed offers both forest roads and trails suitable for the whole family. Kornsjø is also located right next to Trästicklan National Park in Sweden, which offers untouched nature and unique nature experiences.

If you want to take a day trip, it is only 30 minutes by car to Halden city center, where you will find restaurants, shops, Fredriksten Fortress and boating in the Halden Canal . Alternatively, you can head to Dals Ed in Sweden , just 25 minutes away, for a visit to the local market or café.

Check-in at Bokerødstranda Camping is from 13:00, and check-out is by 11:00. It is recommended to book a cabin in advance during the high season, especially in the summer months when it is often very busy. All cabins are non-smoking and pets are welcome as long as they are kept on a leash.

The campsite is quiet and family-friendly , and is suitable for families with children, outdoor enthusiasts and couples who want to get closer to nature. There are no noisy activities or nightlife , making the place perfect for those seeking peace and relaxation. Barbecues are allowed, and there are several seating areas in the area where you can enjoy a good meal in the evening sun.

Remember to bring your own sheets, duvets and pillows for your cabin stay, unless otherwise agreed. It is also possible to rent a washing machine if needed.

There is no large grocery store on site, so it is recommended to do most of your shopping in Halden or Dals Ed before arrival. However, there is the option of simple provisions and meals in the kitchen wagon in season.
