Brekke Locks Motorhome Park, located in the scenic Tistedal in Halden, Østfold, is an excellent choice for those seeking a unique camping experience by the famous Halden Canal. Brekke Locks is Europe's highest continuous lock staircase, where boats are lifted 26.6 meters through four lock chambers. Brekke is home to the passenger ship MS Brekke, which runs trips from May to September.
The first locks in Brekke, built in 1853 by canal builder Engebret Soot, can still be seen. Brekke power station and the new locks were completed in 1924.
In Brekke there are also two lock houses, a workshop and a forge, as well as dock facilities upstream and downstream of the locks.
With only four pitches available, Brekke sluser Bobilparkering guarantees an intimate and personal experience. Each pitch is equipped with power connections, water filling facilities, and waste disposal stations, ensuring that your basic needs are well taken care of. Toilet facilities are available from 1 May to 31 October, and although there are no shower facilities on site, the close proximity to public waste disposal stations at Kirkeng camping in Aremark and at Tyska/Høvleriet in Halden makes for a comfortable camping experience.
An exciting addition to your stay is the opportunity to try your hand at ziplining, as well as enjoying the trips with MS Brekke, which start and end at the motorhome parking lot during the summer season. These activities give a unique twist to your camping adventure and allow you to explore the area from new perspectives. The climbing tour starts with Europe's longest suspension bridge in a Via Ferrata (meaning iron road/iron path), then there is a climbing trail in the mountain that ends with Norway's fastest Zipline.

Great place. Only four pitches, fairytale-like, and typically Norwegian. A small waterfall in the middle of the forest and the barrage is totally exciting. We will remember it. Sanitary facilities are old but clean. Small playground, INGreat place. Only four pitches, fairytale-like, and typically Norwegian. A small waterfall in the middle of the forest and the barrage is totally exciting. We will remember it. Sanitary facilities are old but clean. Small playground, in summer there are some things like climbing and canoeing, which is then perhaps a bit lukewarm
