Camp Arboretum, tucked away in a serene bay on the Adriatic coast of Pašman Island (near Barotul), invites you to step into a holiday shaped by Mediterranean nature and peaceful seclusion. Just about 150 metres from the sandy beach, the campground sits among olive trees and coastal macchia, offering sea breezes, shade, and a beautiful panoramic view of the bay and nearby islets. This natural embrace lives up to the name “Arboretum” — a retreat surrounded by lush Mediterranean flora, where privacy and tranquility come naturally.
The site provides basic but high-standard communal camping facilities: a common gathering area with big barbecue and gas cookers, where you can cook and socialize; fridges and dishes for guest use; and a parking area next to the accommodation zone — with the option to park your vehicle right next to your tent. For those preferring a little more comfort, there is also the possibility to stay in more equipped accommodation (besides tent pitches).
Nearby, only a short stroll away, you’ll find a restaurant serving fresh Mediterranean dishes — ideal after a day of swimming or exploring. If you prefer self-catering, a supermarket in Barotul, about 500 metres from the camp, offers everyday provisions; for extra freshness, local villagers sell home-grown fruits, vegetables, and fresh fish at the fish-market.
For active campers, there are sports grounds nearby for football, beach volleyball, tennis, and water polo — giving you a good mix of activity and beach rest.

From Camp Arboretum, you’re perfectly positioned to enjoy the charms of Pašman Island. A short walk through olive groves brings you to the soft sands of the nearby beach — an ideal place for swimming, sunbathing or just relaxing under the pine or oak shade while the Adriatic waters glisten.
If you like adventure, the island offers many bike and trekking trails, ideal for exploring the landscape, discovering hidden coves, or enjoying panoramic sea views. For lovers of sea-life, the nearby sea and the many small islands around the Pašman channel are ideal for sailing, snorkeling, or simply island-hopping, as there are dozens of little islets, secluded bays and pristine sea beds.
Nature and history meet here: the region is rich with cultural legacy. Pašman’s ancient monasteries once preserved the unique Croatian Glagolitic tradition, making your visit not just a beach holiday — but a cultural journey too. For further excursions, the island is a convenient base for day-trips to some of Croatia’s most scenic nature areas, such as the national parks and landscapes reachable by ferry or boat.
