Description

Camp Harenda Zakopane is a spacious and peaceful campsite in a quiet part of Zakopane, in the Harenda area in southern Poland, offering an authentic Tatra Mountains camping experience. Set on around 1.4 hectares– more than two football fields – it has an open, natural layout rather than marked, paved pitches, so you camp on grass or natural ground and choose your own spot according to your vehicle and preferences. There are also several hardened spots that work especially well for heavier RVs. Many guests enjoy parking with the Tatras right in front of their windscreen. Whether you travel with a tent, caravan, motorhome, or prefer the comfort of a cabin or guest room with private bathroom, the site offers flexible accommodation options for different types of travellers.

The campsite is fully fenced and monitored and has a family‑friendly atmosphere that works well for both children and pets. With plenty of open grassy areas and limited traffic on site, children can move around and play more freely under their parents’ supervision. Access is through an electric gate operated with a card (refundable deposit 50 PLN). Facilities include separate washrooms for women and men & one family bathroom with coin‑operated hot showers (1 PLN/1 minute), a dishwashing area with a kettle for heating water, fresh water points, a grey‑water disposal point, a chemical toilet disposal point, shared electricity points and convenient waste disposal for motorhomes.

Guests benefit from free high‑speed WiFi across the site, which makes it suitable for both holiday stays and remote work. A dedicated barbecue area with wooden benches and tables, some of them under a roof, invites you to spend calm evenings under the stars.

As the campsite is located close to the Tatra National Park, waste sorting is obligatory. This helps the camping area stay clean and pleasant for both people and nature and means you can relax knowing you are staying in a place that respects its mountain surroundings.

In colder months, a warm indoor fireplace lounge provides a cosy place to read, rest or socialise with other guests after a day outdoors. Surrounded by greenery and offering views of Tatra peaks such as Giewont and Kasprowy Wierch, Camp Harenda combines comfort, nature, and tranquillity – a practical base for exploring Polish mountains in every season.

Maja vom Camp Harenda Zakopane 🏔️ 🇬🇧 Thank you for your detailed review. We are glad you appreciated the location on Harenda — right in Zakopane, close to the center and hiking trails, yet away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town center. It is wonderful to hear that you enjoyed the spaciousness of Camp Harenda, the well-maintained grounds, and the beautiful view of the High Tatras — the mountains never fail to impress. We are also pleased that you valued the spotless cleanliness of the sanitary facilities — simple, but functional and spacious. The showers use a coin-operated system for warm water, as described in our offer, and electricity is available as an optional add-on. We hope you will return to Camp Harenda in the future — the magnificent view and the spacious, well-kept grounds are waiting for wonderful guests. Maja from Camp Harenda Zakopane 🏔️
