From Camping Río Jerte, you'll be in a prime location to explore some of the most spectacular scenery in the north of Extremadura. The Jerte Valley itself is famous for its hiking trails, waterfalls such as Caozo, natural pools such as Los Pilones, and its iconic cherry blossom in spring.

Less than an hour's drive away you can visit Plasencia, the charming Ambroz Valley, La Vera with its Yuste Monastery, or the Monfragüe National Park, a paradise for birdwatchers. In addition, the historic cities of Cáceres and Trujillo are close enough for a day trip. In the nearby villages you will find bars, restaurants and local shops where you can enjoy the gastronomy of Extremadura and buy typical products, especially the famous Jerte cherries.
