Camping Ciudad de León

Camping Ciudad de León is a natural gem located just 10 minutes' drive from the historic centre of León, perfect for those wishing to discover Castilla y León or take a break from the Camino de Santiago. Surrounded by a peaceful pine forest, this family campsite offers spacious, shaded pitches ideal for tents, caravans and motorhomes.

The facilities are designed to offer maximum comfort to its guests. In summer (July and August), you can cool off in one of the two outdoor swimming pools: one for adults and one for children. The little ones will also enjoy a safe and fun play area. The sanitary facilities are modern and well maintained, with hot water and access for people with reduced mobility.

The campsite also has a supermarket, where you can buy basic products without having to leave the site. If you prefer to relax completely, you can visit the bar-restaurant with terrace, open from Easter to the end of October, where breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily in a cosy atmosphere.

Just a few minutes from the campsite is the majestic city of León, with its impressive Gothic Cathedral, the Basilica of San Isidoro, and the famous Casa Botines designed by Gaudí. The Barrio Húmedo is perfect for tapas and enjoying the local atmosphere.

A 20-minute drive away you can visit the mysterious ruins of the Monastery of San Pedro de Eslonza or explore the archaeological caves of Las Cuevas Menudas. If you enjoy walking, the Cuestas de Las Lomas Park is just a 10-minute walk from the campsite and offers beautiful views of the town. For hiking enthusiasts, the Sendero Las Cadenas, 20 minutes away, runs through dense forests and spectacular scenery.

The campsite is open all year round and it is advisable to book in advance during the summer months. The outdoor swimming pool is available between 1 July and 31 August (depending on weather conditions). There is a bus stop at the campsite with direct service to the centre of León once a day in the morning.

Pets are allowed under supervision, and laundry service is available. Pitches have electricity connection, and the atmosphere is quiet, ideal for families, pilgrims and travellers looking for nature and culture in one destination.
