Camping De Beerte

Camping De Beerte is a small-scale, cosy nature campsite by the water in picturesque Beerta (Groningen). With only 15 spacious camping pitches, it is the place to be for peace seekers, nature lovers and camper van owners who love comfort and personal contact. Whether you are travelling with a caravan, tent or motorhome - everyone is welcome at this hospitable mini campsite.

The pitches are semi-paved, with a firm layer of gravel under the grass - ideal for motorhomes and caravans. All pitches have 10-amp electricity connection, and the site is equipped with neat sanitary facilities, a grey water discharge point, a washing-up area and free wifi on almost the entire campsite (use code: welcomeinbeerta). There is also a bike shed and electric bikes are available for hire (advance booking recommended).

What makes Camping De Beerte extra special is its location directly on the Reiderdiep, with a connection to the Oldambtmeer. Here you can swim, canoe, supp or sail in a sloop to your heart's content - a true paradise for water sports enthusiasts. Soon you will also be able to rent canoes and sloops directly at the campsite.

The location of Camping De Beerte makes it the perfect base for those who love cycling, hiking and exploring. From the campsite, you can easily hop on your bike or put on your walking shoes to explore the beautiful Oldambt landscape - vast, green and full of character. Routes are available at reception, and we are working on our own cycling and walking route map.

Highly recommended is the ANWB Oldambtroute: a 57-kilometre cycling tour of about four hours through historic villages and the distinctive Groningen landscape. For families or adventurers, geocaching is also possible in the area - a modern treasure hunt with GPS!

Just 5 minutes by bike (15-minute walk) you will find a supermarket for all your daily shopping needs. There are more shops, restaurants and terraces in nearby Winschoten. And for a day out, Blauwestad, the beach at the Oldambtmeer or the city of Groningen are great options within short driving distance.

Open from 15 March to October,De Beerte campsite is often full thanks to its popularity - so it is wise to book in advance. Especially during holidays and weekends, the spots are popular with motorhome owners and peace-seekers looking to escape the crowds.

Dogs are allowed (if leashed), and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. Whether you come for one night or a longer holiday, you will quickly feel at home here. There are plenty of sanitary facilities on site, good Wi-Fi and opportunities for recreation on and around the water.
