Camping de la Plage is a charming and well-appointed four-star campsite nestled in a beautiful natural park in the heart of Bénodet, one of southern Brittany's most beloved and elegant seaside resorts. Situated just 300 metres from the sea and only 400 metres from the main Trez beach, the campsite enjoys an exceptionally privileged location that places guests within easy walking distance of the coast, the town centre, and all the leisure activities that Bénodet has to offer.
The campsite's outstanding aquatic area is one of its greatest draws, featuring a large heated indoor swimming pool accessible throughout the entire season, a second uncovered outdoor pool with a gentle slope, two thrilling water slides, a paddling pool for young children, and two covered hot tubs — making it a destination in its own right whatever the weather.
The spacious and well-delimited grassy pitches are shaded by tall mature trees and separated by hedges, offering a peaceful and private setting for tents, caravans, and motorhomes, while a dedicated motorhome area with service terminal provides convenient facilities for those passing through. For guests seeking more comfort, a wide selection of mobile homes (2 to 3 bedrooms) and chalets (1 to 3 bedrooms) is available for rental, all fully equipped for a relaxing family holiday. On-site facilities include a bar, a snack bar and grocery available in July and August, a launderette, free WiFi, a daily bread delivery service in high season, a multisports court, a pétanque court, table tennis, a fitness circuit, a games room, and a children's playground.
The campsite is supervised for the safety and peace of mind of all guests, and the team is well known for its warm and attentive welcome. Open from early June to mid-September for pitches and from May onwards for rental accommodation, Camping de la Plage Bénodet is the perfect base for a memorable family holiday on the Breton Riviera.

Camping de la Plage is set in the heart of Bénodet, a refined and family-friendly seaside resort at the mouth of the River Odet in southern Finistère, widely regarded as one of the finest destinations on the Brittany coast. The campsite's unbeatable location means that virtually everything guests could need is within easy reach on foot or by bicycle. The main beach, Plage du Trez, is just 400 metres away — a supervised, south-facing sandy beach with calm, clear waters, beach club facilities, and catamaran and windsurf rental available in season.
Two further beaches, Plage de la Pointe Saint-Gilles and the sheltered lagoon beach of Letty, are both around 500 metres from the campsite, offering quieter alternatives with rock pools and stunning coastal scenery. The town centre of Bénodet, with its shops, crêperies, seafood restaurants, bars, and a casino, is approximately 800 metres away, and the scenic seafront promenade — lined with pine trees and offering panoramic views of the bay — connects the campsite area to the port and marina with a pleasant stroll.
The famous GR34 coastal walking trail, one of France's most spectacular long-distance paths, passes through Bénodet and offers breathtaking walks in both directions along the Finistère coastline. The town also has a thalassotherapy centre, a cinema, a maritime museum, a weekly Monday market selling fresh local produce and seafood, and a busy programme of summer events including outdoor concerts, regattas, and fireworks displays. Boat trips from the harbour run regularly to the charming village of Sainte-Marine across the Odet estuary, and to the legendary Glénan Islands — Brittany's own Caribbean — with their turquoise waters and white sand beaches.
Bénodet and the surrounding Cornouaille region of southern Finistère offer an extraordinary range of day trips and excursions that make Camping de la Plage an ideal base for exploring some of the very best of Brittany. The cathedral city of Quimper, just 13 kilometres to the north, is one of Brittany's most beautiful and culturally rich destinations, with its stunning Gothic cathedral, medieval streets, world-famous faience pottery workshops, excellent museums, and vibrant market — easily reachable by car, bus, or a scenic boat trip up the Odet, often called the most beautiful river in France. Concarneau, 14 kilometres to the east, is home to one of Brittany's most photogenic attractions: the Ville Close, a walled medieval town built on a small island in the harbour, surrounded by ramparts and packed with artisan shops, galleries, and seafood restaurants.
The Glénan Islands, a protected archipelago 20 kilometres offshore, are accessible by boat from Bénodet's harbour and offer exceptional snorkelling, sailing, and beach relaxation in turquoise waters more reminiscent of the Caribbean than northern France. Locronan, listed among the most beautiful villages in France, is a perfectly preserved Renaissance town just 26 kilometres away, beloved by artists and filmmakers for its 15th to 18th-century stone houses and atmospheric cobbled square. For families, the fishing village of Guilvinec is home to Haliotika — La Cité de la Pêche, a fascinating interactive museum dedicated to the local fishing industry, while the adventure park at Audierne and various indoor play parks in the wider area provide further options for rainy days.
The legendary Pointe du Raz, Brittany's dramatic westernmost headland, and the wild Cap Sizun peninsula are both within an hour's drive and offer some of the most spectacular coastal scenery in all of France. Cycling is excellent throughout the area, with well-developed coastal bike paths connecting Bénodet to neighbouring resorts, and the entire region is celebrated for its outstanding Breton cuisine — fresh oysters, langoustines, galettes, kouign-amann, and local Muscadet wines are all unmissable.
