Welcome to Camping de Veenborg, a beautiful green oasis in Kolham, just outside the vibrant city of Groningen. Our campsite offers the perfect mix of tranquillity and adventure, ideally located between Groningen and Hoogezand. With extensive cycling and hiking trails, this is the perfect place for nature lovers and adventurers.

Check-in: 9:00 - 19:00 (AT THE LATEST) – Late arrivals will be refused. Upon arrival, please report to reception first. Our telephone numbers are listed on the information board; we will then guide you to a pitch. Do NOT drive onto the campsite yourself!

The campsite offers spacious touring pitches, motorhome pitches and also rents out chalets. Our touring pitches are equipped with all the necessary facilities, such as electricity, clean water and modern sanitary facilities. For motorhomes we have dedicated pitches with easy access and all necessary hook-ups.

For children there are go-karts, a trampoline, swings and a playhouse. And in warm weather, a small paddling pool may of course be set up so they can enjoy playing in the water.

For dogs there is an off-leash area around the campsite; on the campsite itself they must be kept on a lead.

At reception you can hire bicycles to explore the beautiful surroundings. For a relaxing day at the campsite you can make use of our barbecue areas and picnic tables, perfect for an enjoyable meal in the open air. In addition, we have a small kiosk where coffee, tea, soft drinks and ice cream are available, as well as various brochures for enjoyable outings.

Our location is unique due to the proximity of the Roegwold nature reserve, the Zuidlaardermeer area and the Westerbroek nature reserve. These areas offer countless opportunities for walking and cycling tours. In addition, the city of Groningen, with all its cultural attractions, is only a short bus ride away. The bus stop is located directly in front of the campsite, allowing you to explore the city with ease without having to use your car.

The surroundings of Camping de Veenborg have much to offer for both nature lovers and urban explorers. The Roegwold nature reserve is ideal for long walks and cycle rides, where you can enjoy the peace and beauty of nature. The Zuidlaardermeer area offers excellent opportunities for water sports such as sailing, canoeing and fishing.

For cultural trips, the city of Groningen is a must. Visit the Grote Markt, the Groninger Museum and climb the Martinitoren for a magnificent view over the city. Groningen is also known for its vibrant cultural scene, with numerous theatres, galleries and music venues. The city also offers a wide range of restaurants, bars and shops, perfect for a day out.

Just a few minutes' drive away, you will also find the village of Hoogezand, where you can find several supermarkets, shops and eateries. For a relaxing day by the water, visit the Zuidlaardermeer lake, where beautiful beaches and swimming opportunities await you.

At Camping de Veenborg, we do everything we can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The reception is open daily for all your questions and also provides information about the surrounding area and activities. We recommend making a reservation in advance, especially in high season, to avoid disappointment.

Dogs are welcome on the campsite, but must be kept on a leash at all times. We kindly ask you to be considerate of other guests and to respect the peace and the natural environment.

At our campsite you can use Wi-Fi free of charge, so you can stay connected at all times. Do not forget to bring your bicycles or rent them from us, so you can explore the beautiful cycling and hiking routes in the area.
