The campsite offers large, shady pitches suitable for tents, caravans and motorhomes, as well as comfortable accommodation. It has an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by trees, perfect for cooling off in summer, with plenty of deckchairs for sunbathing or relaxing in the shade.

Children will love thefully-equipped play area (swings, slide, seesaw, merry-go-round), while adults can enjoy a game of pétanque on the pitch, or a cosy moment in the TV room. Fishing enthusiasts will be delighted: the River Allier is directly accessible from the campsite, for waterside sessions in complete tranquillity.

The campsite also has a snack bar with a terrace where you can enjoy a cold drink or a meal in the open air. The family atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, ideal for recharging your batteries and exploring the natural wonders of the Gorges de l'Allier.

Camping des Gorges de l'Allier is less than 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Langeac, a lively, friendly town with restaurants, bars, shops and a lively market on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

One of the must-sees is the Allier Gorges tourist train, which departs from Langeac and takes you on a 67km journey through spectacular scenery, volcanoes, viaducts and tunnels, all the way to Langogne in Lozère. An unforgettable experience!

The region is also a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with forest walks, climbing, tree climbing, mountain biking and horse riding, not to mention water sports on the Allier such as canoeing, kayaking, swimming and fishing. For horse riders, there are organised rides departing from Langeac - ask at the local tourist office.

Camping des Gorges de l'Allier is easily accessible, whether you arrive by car, train (Langeac station) or bike. You are strongly advised to book in advance, especially in high season, as the campsite's privileged location attracts large numbers of holidaymakers every year.

Pets are welcome, subject to conditions, and the sanitary facilities are modern and well-maintained. The pitches are open-plan, giving you the freedom to set up your own pitch, while respecting your privacy.

On site, you'll find all the amenities you need for a pleasant stay: recharging point for motorhomes, water points, electricity, launderette and tourist information area. The team is on hand to help you organise your excursions and advise you on the best walks in the area.
