Nestled in the scenic Ardèche region of southern France, Camping Les Arches is a wonderfully spacious and nature‑friendly campsite that’s ideal for families, couples, and outdoor lovers looking for memorable holidays. The site sprawls across approximately 10 hectares of verdant landscape, providing plenty of room to relax without feeling crowded — with around 146 spacious pitches, 38 comfortable chalets, and 2 charming cottages to choose from.
What truly makes Les Arches stand out is its combination of nature and water attractions. A tranquil river (La Claduègne) flows right through the campsite, and in summer a section is dammed to create a spectacular natural bathing area (≈ 1,200 m²) complete with a small waterfall — a unique feature that kids and adults adore. At the same time, you’ll find a modern aquatic area with a heated swimming pool, jacuzzi, waterslide and paddling pool, perfect for cooling off and relaxing under the sun.
Every pitch and rental unit is thoughtfully laid out amid a varied array of trees and shrubs, offering shade, privacy, and scenic views. Many pitches also include wooden pergolas or elevated panoramic terraces, elevating your outdoor living experience with breathtaking views over the surroundings.
The campsite’s on‑site bar and restaurant serves regional specialties and refreshing drinks. In high summer you’ll also enjoy snacks and pizzas by the pool, plus a bread and pastries service to start your mornings right. Other practical comforts include Wi‑Fi access, equipment rental, washing facilities, baby kits, and accessibility features for guests with limited mobility.

Situated in the heart of Ardèche, Les Arches is perfectly placed for exploring both natural wonders and charming rural villages. The region is famed for its dramatic limestone gorges, river landscapes, and outdoor adventures — and the campsite is close to a network of hiking and cycling trails that wind through vineyards, orchards, and scenic forest paths.
Just a short drive away you’ll find the historic towns of Aubenas and Vallon‑Pont‑d’Arc, both offering colourful markets, boutique shopping, and excellent local cuisine. The iconic Gorges de l’Ardèche and the famous Pont d’Arc natural bridge — a must‑see on any Ardèche itinerary — are within easy reach and perfect for day trips.
Closer to the campsite, the villages of Saint‑Jean‑le‑Centenier and Villeneuve‑de‑Berg (about 5 minutes by car) provide everyday conveniences such as supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacy, and small local shops — essential for stocking up or exploring local life.
For families, days can easily be filled with picnics by the river, kayaking trips, nature walks, or visits to nearby vineyards, local eateries, and artisan markets that showcase the rich culinary traditions of southern France. It’s also a great base for exploring charming medieval towns, ancient castles, and scenic viewpoints that seem straight out of a postcard.
Camping Les Arches** operates its camping season from late April to late September each year, while its rental accommodations (chalets, cottages) are available all year round for longer breaks or off‑season escapes.
Although the river swimming area and pool complexes are typically open in summer, actual opening times can vary depending on weather conditions. The pool area is usually accessible daily throughout the season, with lifeguards on duty in peak months.
Guests should note that river and pool access is reserved exclusively for staying guests due to safety and insurance regulations. Bringing a universal camping adapter is recommended if you’re using a pitch with electric hook‑up.
If you’re arriving by motorhome, there is a camper service area for waste disposal and potable water, ensuring a smooth stay for all types of campers.
Local shops, cafés, and restaurants are just a short drive away, but during high season it’s wise to book activities and excursions in advance — especially guided tours of the Gorges de l’Ardèche or popular kayaking trips. Finally, while pets are generally welcome (conditions may apply), it’s always best to confirm details with reception before arrival.
