Camping Manu, nestling in Crots in the Hautes-Alpes, is a haven of peace for lovers of nature and authentic camping. Here, it's a return to basics, in a verdant setting just a stone's throw from Lake Serre-Ponçon and the magnificent Chanterenne beach, which has been awarded the Blue Flag. This family-run campsite, run with passion for three generations, welcomes you in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The site, which used to be farmland, is divided into large plots of at least 80 m², bordered by natural hedges to ensure your privacy. You can choose a pitch with or without electricity, semi-shaded or sunny. Trees are planted every year, reinforcing the harmony with the environment. There are three sanitary blocks throughout the campsite, with free hot water and token-free showers.

At reception, Eva and Alexeï will be delighted to guide you during your stay. You'll find tourist information, fridge hire, washing machines, ice packs, electrical adapters and the key to the launderette.

The area around Camping Manu offers an impressive range of activities and discoveries. Less than 100 metres away, enjoy the Serre-Ponçon lake: swimming, windsurfing, paddling, sailing, water-skiing or fishing - it's all within easy reach. On the beach, you can hire a kayak or paddle, or try your hand at windsurfing and foiling with the instructors at Spot Serre-Ponçon.

Hikers will love the routes to Morgon or Mont Guillaume, which are accessible even for families. For thrill-seekers, the Indian Forest park (1km away) offers some great tree-top adventures. In Embrun, just a few kilometres away, go rafting, canyoning or even paragliding.

For your gourmet outings, bars, snack bars and restaurants such as La Cantina de l'Estanco and Macumba welcome you with tasty dishes and a summery atmosphere, all just a few minutes' walk away.

Camping Manu is open every day from 9am to 12pm and from 3.30pm to 7.30pm (opening at 10am on Wednesday mornings). Remember to bring a long electric cable if you book a pitch with electricity. Payment is by cash, cheque or holiday vouchers - credit cards are not accepted.

The campsite is open 24 hours a day, making it ideal for late arrivals. It is advisable to book in advance, especially in high season. Whether you're a sporty type or just want to relax, this little corner of paradise by the lake promises you an unforgettable stay.
