Camping Municipal de Sobrescobio is a welcoming nature-focused campsite set in the charming village of Villamorey, right inside the stunning Redes Natural Park in Asturias. With around 53 spacious pitches spread across roughly 12,000 m², the property offers plenty of room for campers travelling with motorhomes, caravans, campervans, or tents.
Large pitches are over 50 m² and suitable for RVs up to about 9 meters, while the smaller 5×5 m pitches are ideal for tent campers wanting simplicity and comfort. Electricity (16A) is included on every pitch. Because the campsite is newly developed, the trees are still maturing, which means open, sunny spaces and beautiful mountain views.
The on-site restaurant and bar serve delicious seasonal dishes made with local Asturian ingredients — from cheeses and vegetables to hearty regional recipes and vegetarian options. A small country shop provides essentials and local products, so you can easily stock up or take home a taste of the region.
Guests have access to public restrooms, hot showers, a laundry room with washer and dryer, free Wi-Fi at reception and the restaurant, and a wastewater disposal area for caravans and motorhomes. The property is fully accessible, and pets are welcome, making it a great choice for families, couples, and adventurers travelling with furry companions.

Staying at Camping Municipal de Sobrescobio places you just minutes away from one of Asturias’ most iconic hiking routes: Ruta del Alba, which starts in the nearby village of Soto de Agues. This trail is known for its dramatic river gorge, crystal-clear waters, wooden bridges, and waterfalls. It is suitable for hikers of all levels and is one of the most visited natural attractions in the entire region.
The surrounding landscapes are dominated by beech and oak forests, steep limestone mountains, and wildlife typical of the protected area — deer, foxes, and a wide variety of birds. Redes Natural Park has long been celebrated as one of the purest natural refuges in northern Spain.
A short drive takes you to Rioseco, the main village of the municipality, offering bars, small shops, and traditional rural life. History lovers can visit the remains of Castillo de Villamorey, offering magnificent views over the Rioseco reservoir.
