Nestled in a peaceful side-valley of the Vienna Woods (Wienerwald), Camping Paradise Garden offers a serene escape just 30 km southwest of Vienna — making it a perfect nature base with easy access to the city. With 50 spacious pitches (each over 100 m²) for tourers — whether you arrive by tent, caravan, or motorhome — and full hookups for electricity and drinking water, every stay feels comfortable and uncluttered by cramped spaces.
Wastewater disposal is handled via the campsite’s own sewer system. The campsite includes a high-standard sanitary building, built in 2005, which has earned a five-star classification from both ADAC and ANWB — offering clean showers, toilets, washing facilities, and even accommodations for guests with reduced mobility.
Facilities extend beyond the bare essentials: there is free WiFi coverage across the site. For those travelling with pets — a bonus for dog owners — dogs are welcome. The campsite also offers a snack bar / small on-site restaurant where homemade dishes and drinks are served, inviting you to relax after a day of hiking or sightseeing.
What makes Camping Paradise Garden truly special is its relaxed, pastoral atmosphere: the owner, Leopold Grandl, runs a working sheep farm and cultivates 120 heirloom fruit varieties on the property, so you wake up to birdsong, grazing sheep, and fresh country air. The site is enveloped in meadows and wooded hillsides — a haven for camping lovers who want to reconnect with nature, unplug, and recharge.
Depending on your travel style, Camping Paradise Garden can also serve groups: thanks to generous space and good infrastructure, motorhome-group camping is possible — ideal for friend groups or families travelling together.

Stepping out of your tent or caravan, you are right at the edge of the Vienna Woods — one of Europe’s most beautiful forested regions, designated a “Biosphere Park” and part of the Natura 2000 network. The surrounding forest, rolling hills, and meadows invite for walking or hiking, with the local municipality (Kaumberg) offering around 52 km of marked hiking trails.
For cycling enthusiasts, a well-constructed cycling path runs through the Triesting and Gölsental valleys — from Leobersdorf to St. Pölten — giving you direct access to scenic routes from the campsite doorstep.
If you crave a day beyond nature, the campsite is also a great base for exploring cultural and historic sites. Within easy reach are castles, palaces, monasteries, wine villages, and traditional thermal bath regions to the east. For mountain lovers, the Alps lie to the south — among them majestic peaks such as Schneeberg (2,076 m, accessible by historic cog railway) and Rax (2,007 m, reachable via cable car), from whose heights you can gaze far into the Hungarian Puszta.
And for a vibrant city-day, Vienna is only about 30 km away — an easy drive for a day trip of culture, dining, shopping, and sightseeing. This makes Paradise Garden an ideal combination of countryside calm and urban proximity.
The 2026 official season for Camping Paradise Garden runs from 30 March to 30 September. If you want to secure your pitch or have questions — it’s best to contact them early by email (and check your spam folder if you don’t get a confirmation).
Electricity is charged extra based on meter reading at € 0.50 per kWh. Tourist tax and garbage/waste disposal fees apply per person per day (as per current campsite policy).
The pitches are generous in size and the terrain mostly flat, with individual trees and hedges — making the site suitable even for larger caravans or motorhomes.
Though the campsite prides itself on tranquillity and natural surroundings, essential amenities are available: hot showers, toilets, washing and drying machines, dishwashing sinks, WiFi, gas-bottle exchange, and a serving point for simple meals or snacks.
If you’re travelling with a pet — especially a dog — be aware that dogs are allowed, making the place pet-friendly.
Because the campsite is located in a quiet, forested valley with narrow access roads, it’s best to follow the instructions for arrival carefully, especially if coming by caravan or large motorhome: from the motorway, take the “St. Pölten Süd” exit, then follow federal roads B20 → B18 to Kaumberg, and from there follow the signage to Höfnergraben.
Finally, the mood here is rustic, calm, and connected to nature — expect nights filled with the gentle song of crickets, mornings with dew-fresh meadows and grazing sheep, and days spent walking among forests, hills, and fruit trees. For many travellers, it’s the perfect antidote to city noise and crowd — and a place many return to, year after year.
