Riegersburg Castle — one of Austria's most impressive medieval fortresses, perched on a volcanic rock — is a short walk away and offers guided tours, a bird of prey show, an adventure park and via ferrata climbing routes. The natural swimming lake directly across the road is free for guests and features pedal boats, a water slide and a water trampoline. The surrounding Südoststeiermark region is ideal for hiking and cycling through vineyard-covered hills, with e-bike rental available nearby. Tennis courts and a football pitch are within walking distance. Thermal spas are easily accessible for wellness days out. The campsite opened in 2024 and all facilities are new and very well maintained. Access to the swimming lake opposite is included in your stay. A 24/7 self-service farm shop on site sells fresh regional products including fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy, bread and pastries. Tourist tax of €1.00 per person per night is payable on site and not included in the accommodation price. The campsite is open from 27 March to 2 November. Dogs are welcome on pitches.
