Camping San Pelayo

The San Pelayo campsite, located on the banks of the river Deva and with the imposing views of the Picos de Europa as a backdrop, is a perfect refuge for those who want to enjoy nature without sacrificing comfort. This campsite, with more than 20 years of experience, was born from the passion of a group of friends to offer a welcoming and sustainable space for lovers of the outdoors.

The plots are delimited by trees that provide shade and coolness in summer. The campsite also offers Wi-Fi connection and modern sanitary facilities: individual cabins with heating and hot water, as well as washing machine, tumble dryer and chemical toilet for caravans.

One of the strengths of the campsite is its gastronomic offer. The restaurant serves homemade dishes made with seasonal and local products: meat from local farms, artisan cheeses and fresh vegetables. There is also a bar, cafeteria and supermarket, allowing you to cover all your needs without leaving the site.

For leisure and relaxation, the campsite has two swimming pools: a semi-Olympic pool with spectacular views of the mountains and a children's pool next to the playground. The more active can enjoy all the trails that Los Picos de Europa has to offer!

Camping San Pelayo is in a strategic location for lovers of hiking and adventure. From the campsite itself there is easy access to mythical routes such as the Via Ferrata de Los Llanos, or ascents to emblematic peaks such as Pico San Carlos (2,392 m), Peña Vieja (2,613 m) or Coriscao (2,234 m). The area is also ideal for the circular route Fuente Dé - Bustantivo - Fuente Dé, with postcard views and the possibility of spotting wildlife.

In the nearby town of Camaleño, just a few minutes' drive away, you will find bars, restaurants and local shops, and less than 10 km away is Potes, one of the most beautiful villages in Cantabria, with medieval charm and an excellent gastronomic and cultural offer.

It is advisable to book in advance, especially in high season, as the campsite is in great demand due to its privileged location. Caravans and motorhomes are allowed, and there are spacious pitches for both tents and vehicles. Don't forget to bring comfortable shoes and suitable mountain clothing: you'll be right in the heart of the Picos de Europa National Park. It is also a campsite suitable for families, with areas designed for children, and perfect if you are looking to combine relaxation, sport and nature in one place.
