Welcome to the campsite at Garder See, a natural paradise in the middle of the beautiful Mecklenburg Lake District! Here you will find a spacious campsite with around 300 pitches that are perfect for motorhomes, caravans and tents. Our modern and well-kept sanitary facilities, which were extensively renovated in 2016, offer the highest level of comfort - including hot showers, individual washing cubicles and baby changing facilities.

Located directly on the shores of Lake Garda, you can enjoy a unique view of the clear water, which is ideal for numerous activities. Whether swimming, boating, stand-up paddling or fishing - here you can experience pure nature. A new jetty gives you easy access to the water, and our boat hire service offers kayaks, rowing boats and SUP boards for exciting exploratory tours.

For sporting activities, there is a beach volleyball court, bike hire and DinoCar hire for younger guests. Just 1.5 kilometres away is a riding stables where horse lovers can immerse themselves in the world of riding.

Food and drink are also well catered for: the bread roll service at reception ensures a perfect start to the day. A mini-market on site provides you with everything you need.

The region around Lake Gard is a true paradise for nature lovers and explorers. Lake Garder See is right next to the campsite and is ideal for swimming, sailing, surfing and diving. Those looking for even more water adventures can reach the fine sandy beaches of the Baltic Sea in less than an hour by car.

For hiking enthusiasts, the Mecklenburg Lake District offers numerous idyllic hiking trails that lead through extensive forests and along glistening lakes. Here you can observe otters, white-tailed eagles and colourful kingfishers in their natural habitat. A special highlight is the archaeological nature trail, which shows historical sites such as the megalithic tomb of Klein Upahl or the burial mound of Lohmen.

Just 3 km from the campsite is the charming village of Lohmen, where you will find cosy cafés, small shops and restaurants. A larger supermarket is around 12 km away. For day trips, the cities of Rostock, Schwerin and Waren are all less than an hour away.

To make your stay as pleasant as possible, here are some practical tips:

• Booking recommended: Pitches and holiday homes book up quickly, especially in high season. Book early to secure your favourite pitch.
• Pets allowed: Dogs are welcome on the campsite (except in the rental accommodation), but must be kept on a lead.
• WLAN: Internet access is available throughout the campsite. You can purchase daily, weekly or monthly passes.
• Supply & disposal: There is a supply and disposal station for motorhomes as well as a facility for emptying cassette toilets.
• Payment: Accepted payment methods are cash and major cards.
• Arrival & parking: The campsite is easily accessible via the A20, A19 and A24 motorways. There are plenty of parking spaces for guests on site.
