Cepo Verde

Cepo Verde Campismo is a peaceful, family-oriented nature campsite located in the mountains of Northeast Portugal. Open since 1993, the campsite is set in a beautifully wooded area with chestnut, oak, and cherry trees, offering plenty of shade and privacy.

The campsite features 40 spacious and independent pitches suitable for tents, caravans, and motorhomes, with a total capacity of up to 140 guests. Thanks to the generous spacing between pitches, guests can enjoy a high level of comfort, tranquility, and immersion in nature.

Recognized as one of the ten best campsites in Portugal, Cepo Verde is certified as a Nature Tourism enterprise by ICNF and holds the international Green Key environmental quality label. A unique highlight of the campsite is the world’s largest pocket knife, over two meters high, officially registered in the Guinness World Records and exhibited on site.

The campsite is surrounded by outstanding natural landscapes and is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts. Several clearly marked hiking trails start near the campsite, allowing guests to explore the mountains, forests, and panoramic viewpoints of the Trás-os-Montes region.

The area is rich in history and culture, with the campsite located near a site referenced as an ancient Roman settlement. Visitors can also discover traditional villages, local gastronomy, and unspoiled nature within short driving distance. At night, the elevated location offers impressive starry skies and peaceful mountain views.
