Château de Lacomté

Set within 32 acres of landscaped château parkland, Château de Lacomté is a 4-star, adults-only country club campsite located in Carlucet. Nestled between the valleys of the Lot and Dordogne rivers, the site lies within the UNESCO-listed Parc naturel régional des Causses du Quercy, offering an exceptionally tranquil setting surrounded by protected landscapes and wildlife.

The campsite provides 83 fully serviced pitches, including 2 large RV pitches with 16-amp electricity and 100 mm black water connections, making it highly suitable for motorhomes and long-stay caravanners. For guests seeking rental accommodation, there is a spacious Gîte (outside the campsite’s classification area), 5 Pine Chalets set on a semi-wooded hillside, and 4 Mobile Homes with countryside views.

Château de Lacomté enjoys a prime location between some of southwest France’s most iconic destinations. The medieval pilgrimage village of Rocamadour is approximately 20 km away (around 25 minutes by car). The famous Gouffre de Padirac, one of France’s most spectacular cave systems, is also within roughly 25 minutes’ drive.

The riverside town of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie can be reached in about 45 minutes, while the historic wine city of Cahors lies approximately 50 minutes away. The medieval town of Sarlat-la-Canéda is about 45–50 minutes by car, offering renowned markets, restaurants, and cultural heritage.

Local villages within 10–15 minutes’ drive provide bakeries, small grocery shops, cafés, and traditional French restaurants. The Lot and Dordogne rivers offer canoeing, riverside walks, and scenic drives, while hiking and cycling routes begin directly within the surrounding parkland and valleys.

The restaurant and lounge bar are open from 1 June to 15 September. Wi-Fi is available in the bar and terrace areas only. The swimming pool is open seasonally (weather dependent).

The campsite is situated approximately 10 minutes from the A20 motorway (Exit 56), but specific driving instructions provided by the campsite should be followed instead of GPS navigation when exiting the motorway.
