Delta Open Air Resort is a new-generation open-air holiday resort in Porto Garibaldi, on the Adriatic coast of Emilia-Romagna, at Viale dei Mille, 44029 Porto Garibaldi (FE). Designed around the idea of combining outdoor living with modern comfort, the resort covers more than 390,000 square metres — approximately 39 hectares — and is planned to offer more than 1,250 accommodation units and equipped pitches. The resort is surrounded by greenery and positioned close to the sea, making it particularly appealing to families, couples and travellers looking for a camping or glamping-style holiday without giving up the comforts of a modern resort.
Accommodation is designed to suit different types of holidays. Guests looking for a traditional open-air experience can choose from equipped pitches of up to 100 m², suitable for travellers bringing their own camping equipment, caravan or motorhome. The official resort information also highlights pitches designed with guests travelling with pets in mind. For those who prefer a ready-to-use accommodation, there are Lodges from 34 m², featuring modern interiors and furnished verandas, as well as Cottages from 34 m² with more refined interiors and equipped patios. The largest Villas reach up to 44 m² and are located in the resort's first range, close to the sea.
The facilities are intended to make the resort much more than simply a place to sleep. A major highlight is the 4,350 m² swimming-pool and water-park area, complemented by a solarium. There are also two restaurants and three bars, giving guests options for everything from a family lunch to an evening meal or aperitivo without having to leave the resort.
Families are well catered for, with dedicated children's spaces, activities and entertainment. For active travellers, the resort plans facilities and activities including 5-a-side football, tennis, basketball and padel, while the surrounding Po Delta provides opportunities for cycling, birdwatching and water-based activities on the Adriatic.
Sustainability is also an important part of the concept. Delta states that it is restoring and enhancing 5 hectares of existing woodland, planting more than 1,500 new trees and 600 plant species, and incorporating a 2.7 MW photovoltaic system. The accommodation units are designed using bio-building principles and recyclable materials.

The location is one of Delta Open Air Resort's strongest advantages. Porto Garibaldi is both a seaside resort and an historic fishing village, centred around a navigable canal connecting the town with the sea. The waterfront is a natural place for a walk, while the local fishing tradition makes fresh Adriatic seafood an important part of the area's identity. Boat excursions depart from Porto Garibaldi towards the Comacchio Valleys and the Po Delta, making the resort a convenient base for exploring the wetlands and waterways of the region.
For nature lovers, the Comacchio Valleys are approximately 1.7 km away, according to current accommodation-location information, while the Po Delta Park is around 4.7 km away by road. These landscapes are particularly attractive for cycling, walking, photography, birdwatching and boat trips.
A visit to Comacchio's historic centre should also be high on the list. The town is famous for its canals and the Trepponti bridge, a distinctive five-arched bridge and one of the area's best-known landmarks. Delta's own destination information highlights cycling, kayaking and walking as ways to explore Comacchio and its surrounding landscape.
The Adriatic beach is essentially part of the resort experience, with third-party accommodation listings describing Delta as a beachfront property with a private beach. Nearby Porto Garibaldi also has equipped bathing establishments and free beach areas.
You will not need to travel far for food and everyday essentials either. Current local listings show numerous restaurants within roughly 1.2 km, including seafood restaurants and beach restaurants. Several cafés, bars and shops are located along Viale dei Mille and the surrounding streets of Porto Garibaldi. For example, local listings place restaurants such as Ristorante Mare e Cucina and Ristorante Bagno Levante on Viale dei Mille, while bars and cafés are also found within the town.
For a wider day trip, Circuito di Pomposa is around 5 km away, while Mirabilandia is approximately 64 km away by road according to current accommodation listings. Ravenna's major historic attractions, including the Basilica of San Vitale, are also within driving distance.
The most important thing to know before booking is that Delta Open Air Resort is scheduled to open in Summer 2027. If you find older or third-party pages showing dates in 2026, check the official resort information before relying on them. The official opening announcement should be treated as the current reference.
For motorhome and caravan travellers, the equipped pitches are one of the resort's key attractions. With pitches of up to 100 m², Delta is designed to offer more than a simple overnight stop. You can bring your own accommodation and enjoy access to a large holiday resort with pools, a water park, restaurants, bars, sports facilities and family activities.
Travellers who prefer a ready-made accommodation can choose between Lodges, Cottages and Villas. This makes the resort suitable for very different holiday styles, from a traditional motorhome or camping trip to a more comfortable family break in a fully equipped holiday unit.
Pet owners should check the conditions for their exact accommodation or pitch before booking. The resort's pitch concept specifically caters for travellers with pets, but individual accommodation categories can have different pet policies.
The scale of the property is another important consideration. At more than 39 hectares, Delta is a large open-air resort rather than a small campsite. That means guests can expect a lively holiday atmosphere, extensive green areas and a broad choice of facilities and activities.
At the same time, the resort's setting makes it easy to escape into nature. The Po Delta, Comacchio Valleys and Adriatic coast are all close by, and the area has a strong network of cycling and outdoor routes. If you enjoy photography or wildlife, consider allowing time for birdwatching and exploring the wetlands rather than spending the entire holiday at the resort.
It is also worth planning your meals around the local character of Porto Garibaldi. The town's fishing heritage means fresh seafood is one of the area's specialities, and its restaurants and waterfront atmosphere are an important part of the experience.
