DutchHill is a unique campsite in the peaceful, picturesque hilly landscape of Zalacsány in western Hungary - just 15 kilometres from Lake Balaton. No mass tourism awaits you here, but peace, nature and warm hospitality. The campsite is situated on a hill with a breathtaking view of the green valley and offers both natural pitches and charming accommodation such as two rustic log cabins, a Mongolian yurt and a cosy caravan.
The pitches are generously laid out, either on the edge of the forest or on open meadows. All have electricity (220V/16A) and water connections, plus a central sanitary area with toilets, outdoor shower and washing-up area. Further sanitary facilities are located directly at the heart of the site - the cosy pub "De Kroeg".
The log cabins (24 m²) have their own bathroom, kitchen, double bed, sofa bed and seating area. The yurt (27 m²) is furnished with traditional furniture and can accommodate up to five people. Toilets and showers are in the immediate vicinity. The caravan sleeps up to four people and has a small kitchen, running water and electricity.
"De Kroeg" is the social centre: enjoy homemade wine, Hungarian beer, homemade pálinka, or a delicious breakfast with farm eggs, cheese, sausage and fresh bread. Campfire dinners and BBQs also take place regularly - all in the spirit of the original camping passion.

The region around DutchHill is a true natural paradise for those seeking relaxation and active holidays. You can hike or cycle through vast forests, wide fields and rolling hills directly from the campsite. A small stream babbles in the centre of the valley - a place where, with a bit of luck, deer can be seen drinking.
Lake Balaton, also known as the "Hungarian Sea", is only about 15 kilometres away and is ideal for swimming, boating, fishing or sunbathing. For those interested in culture, the region offers numerous thermal baths, museums, wineries and weekly markets. The hosts will be happy to give you personal recommendations on local restaurants, beaches, thermal baths or hidden excursion destinations.
In the surrounding area you will also find small villages with quaint pubs, rural farm shops and regional specialities that you should definitely try. Whether you want to savour Hungarian cuisine or simply experience nature - both are possible here.
At DutchHill, deceleration, authenticity and hospitality take centre stage. There are no overcrowded pitches, but plenty of open space, privacy and spectacular views. Parking is available directly at the pitch. Bed linen, towels and kitchen equipment are included in the accommodation.
Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement, children are welcome guests and will find a small play corner with books and toys on site. The pub also has a large selection of brochures, maps and insider tips for things to do.
Breakfast is served daily from 8.30 am to 10.00 am. If you fancy some company in the evening, you can meet up around the campfire or at the bar - perhaps over a glass of homemade fruit wine or a chat with other travellers.
Whether alone, as a couple, with friends or family - DutchHill is the ideal place to relax, experience Hungarian nature and savour the moment.
