Dynestrand Camping & Ställplats

Welcome to Dynestrand Camping & Motorhome Stopover. Here you stay just a stone’s throw from the sea with a motorhome, caravan, tent, or in our cabins. The site has its own small island with a bathing beach, reached via a suspension bridge. The campsite is located next to the E6 highway, 7 km from Strömstad town centre and 8 km from Nordby Shopping Center. Dynekilen Golf Course is only 300 m away; here you will find a fine 18-hole Pay & Play golf course.

There are pitches for motorhomes, caravans, tents, and cabins. The cabins are simple yet cosy, 12 sq m in size with four beds, all with sea views and evening sun. A refrigerator and basic self-catering facilities are provided. Toilets, showers, and a kitchen are available in the service building adjacent to the cabins.

Dynestrand Camping & Ställplats is located near the small lovely town of Strömstad. Here you will find everything from shopping, cafes, restaurants and much more. If you want to take a trip out to sea and experience the Bohuslän archipelago, this is also the best starting point.

Here you will find boats that take you out to the Koster Islands, among others. The Koster Islands are well known for their beautiful surroundings where you can rent bikes and get around the islands. Find your own beach or cliff and enjoy the summer in the best way.

Another popular stop is Ursholmen lighthouse site. Here you will find Sweden's westernmost post and this can only be reached by boat, either via Strömstad harbour or with your own. The lighthouse site is currently unmanned, but the old dwelling, the sheds and the lighthouse are still standing, where a museum has now been created that depicts what it was like to live and work as a lighthouse keeper.

If you want to take the family on a bit of a trip, Daftöland is only 5 km south of Strömstad. Here you will find attractions for both young and old, and if you add a pirate theme and fast-paced shows, you have a perfect all-day experience ahead of you. Daftöland is open during the summer months. If you come walking past Dynestrand, the Bohus Trail is not far away.

Bohusleden offers 370 km of beautiful nature and very varied types of hiking. Take you through forests and lakes, over wild wastelands and marshes! Only a few miles inland, this wild nature experience is offered and if you are lucky you will see both moose and beavers.

Enjoy nature, fish your dinner, pick mushrooms, lingonberries and cloudberries and find the peace within. The various stages offered near the campsite and Strömstad are Strömstad - Högstad - Krokstrand - Vassbottna.

Dynestrand is also very close to Norway. You can therefore easily visit our beautiful neighbouring country. Take a trip to the Svinesund bridges where you will find the most beautiful of border crossings between our countries. Then continue on to historic Halden and enjoy all the historical stories there.
