Evjetun Leirsted is a large, varied and scenic accommodation in the heart of Setesdal , idyllically located between the Otra River and beautiful forest areas with hiking trails. It offers accommodation for families, groups, courses and holidaymakers - whether you come with a tent, camper van, caravan or want to stay in a cabin, apartment or room.

The facility has 45 campsites with electricity , divided into five fields with plenty of space. You can also choose from 14 cabins – from simple summer cabins without a bathroom, to comfortable cabins with a kitchen, bathroom, living room and loft. There is also an apartment with 4 beds , another with 2+2 beds , as well as a completely renovated house with 3 bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and common living room .

In the main building you will find reception, kitchen, activity room, meeting room and 14 different rooms and apartments with modern bathrooms. Some rooms have shared bathrooms in the hallway. Evjetun has a total of over 100 beds , and is equally suitable for individual travelers as for larger groups.

With free WiFi, good drying facilities, a dishwasher in the communal kitchen and quiet patios with great views of Otra, this is a place where you can really relax and enjoy nature - all year round.

Evjetun is located just 5 minutes from the center of Evje , with access to shops, restaurants, bars, a gas station and a pharmacy. From here, it is a short distance to some of Southern Norway's most popular attractions.

Mineralparken , TrollAktiv , and Evje Aktivitetspark are all within a 10-minute drive , offering rafting, climbing, ziplining, mine tours and much more for the whole family. There are also several great swimming spots in the area, both in Otra and nearby waters.

For those who enjoy hiking and cycling, the surrounding area offers quiet forest roads and nature trails right outside your door. In winter, you can explore nearby cross-country skiing trails and the winter tranquility of Setesdal's landscape.

Evjetun also has a strong foothold in local cultural life – concerts, meetings and Christian gatherings are held here throughout the year, in collaboration with, among others, the Norwegian Lutheran Missionary Association and local congregations.

Evjetun Leirsted is open most of the year, but the demand is highest in the summer months - we therefore recommend booking both rooms, cabins and campsites well in advance, especially for groups or in high season. Check-in is between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM , and check-out is by 11:00 AM (camping at 12:00 PM).

Pet lovers are welcome, but we ask that dogs be kept on a leash and that you show consideration for other guests. Parking is free, and you will receive good help at the reception with maps, tour suggestions or tips for local attractions.

Homemade dinners are offered on certain days of the week (by reservation), and several common areas can be reserved for birthdays, meetings and gatherings. The area has a playground and a football field , as well as plenty of space for outdoor play and socializing.
