Västragård

Welcome to Västragård, a summer facility in a scenic natural setting belonging to Fårbo Free Church Congregation on the Småland east coast, just a few minutes from Fårbo. Here, the tranquillity by Lake Jämsen is combined with a warm, welcoming atmosphere – perfect for those seeking a peaceful and pleasant place to relax during their holiday.

The facility is available for rental when it is not in use by the congregation, and on the large grass areas there are 9 pitches for motorhomes and caravans. Please note that advance pitch reservation is required! Also make sure that you park on the pitch you have booked, which is stated in the email you receive once payment has been made. Västragård offers both short and extended stays, making it an excellent choice both for travellers passing through and for holiday guests who wish to stay a little longer.

The site offers access to basic facilities such as 5 toilets and 2 showers of a simpler standard, and a large kitchen with 20 seats. The surroundings provide green areas for play, relaxation, and fellowship. During the summer, worship services, waffle cafés and other gatherings are also held on the grounds – an opportunity to combine camping with local cultural life and community.

Policy Out of care for one another, and particularly for the children and young people who spend time in our premises and on our grounds, Fårbo Free Church Congregation’s own events and activities are always alcohol- and drug-free. As a tenant of the congregation, we expect you to respect and adhere to our policy in a responsible manner.

Västragård is situated in one of Småland’s beautiful coastal natural areas, just north of Fårbo. Only a stone’s throw away lies Lake Jämsen, ideal for swimming. For nature enthusiasts there are several hiking trails nearby where you can explore the Småland landscape up close, for example in the Stensjö by cultural reserve, 10 km to the south.

In Fårbo, approximately 5 minutes by car, you will find the Fårbo service area with a petrol station, a grocery store open 07:00–21:00 with an ATM for cash withdrawals, and a snack bar. If you are looking for more urban life, it is not far to Oskarshamn, where you will find shopping, culture and entertainment.
