Filipsborgs Herrgård

Filipsborgs herrgård is a year-round camping with camping and hotel right next to the Kalixälven river in beautiful Norrland. Here you are close to both the Bothnian Bay archipelago and the sea, a perfect place to enjoy the bright days of summer and the northern winter with beautiful northern lights evenings.

The manor, which dates back to the 17th century, has around 30 campsites that welcome both motorhomes and caravans. All campsites are beautifully located and have a view of Kalix Golf Club and its 18-hole course. If you arrive at the campsite in a caravan, there is also a special area where you can park your trailer.

The campsites are newly built with both gravel and grass surfaces. Most of the sites also have a glittering view of the Kalixälven river, where Filipsborgs herrgård offers two exclusive sites in "riverside" position and is thus located right on the beach next to the Kalixälven river.

20 of the pitches have electrical outlets of up to 16A/3600W. 15 kWh of electricity consumption is also included in the price. The campsite offers sorting at source.

Free Wi-Fi is available to all guests in the area. Showers and toilets are available, and fresh water is available throughout the campsite. In fact, Kalix has some of the best drinking water in Sweden.

Filipsborgs Herrgård is a beautiful campsite in a mansion and park environment. About 2 kilometers away you will find the center of Kalix with a grocery store, bowling alley, cafes, restaurants and system companies.

The area around the campsite offers several walking paths and bike paths.

The campsite also offers a range of winter activities and guided tours such as icebreaker safaris, dog sledding tours and snowmobile safaris.

If you are looking for the northern lights, Filipsborgs Herrgård is the perfect place to experience them. The season for the Aurora Borealis, as it is also known, starts in September, when the darkness of autumn descends on Sweden, and lasts until April when the spring light once again illuminates the night sky.

The campsite/pitches are open all year round. At Filipsborg Herrgård there is a restaurant that is open for smaller and larger groups, by pre-order. Various events such as weddings are also arranged here for smaller groups.

Filipborg Herrgård is located in Kalix, 50 kilometers from the Finnish border. 1.5 kilometers from the campsite you will find the bus station and an hour's drive away is Luleå Airport - Kallax. The 12-hour drive between Stockholm and Kalix gives you the perfect opportunity to discover much of what northern Sweden has to offer.

Filipsborgs Herrgård is a family-run hotel and campsite in Kalix, northern Sweden. The very oldest parts of the manor date from 1805 and the manor assumed its current size and appearance in the years after 1860, and is continuously maintained after a complete renovation in 1984. However, it is important to point out that the mansion still represents the era of wooden patrons from the second half of the 19th century.
