Jean-Luc and his team welcome you to a quiet corner of Normandy where the campsite sits on an island between two arms of the river Varenne. At its heart lies a pond of almost three hectares, home to carp, pike, eel and trout, and many pitches and mobile homes face straight onto the water.

The pitches are partly shaded and bordered by hedges, with electricity for tents, caravans and motorhomes. The Privilege pitches by the pond let you fish right from your spot. If you would rather unpack a suitcase, the mobile homes come with one to three bedrooms and a semi covered terrace.

Mornings start with fresh bread and pastries from the small shop, and pizzas are made at reception every day. Children have a playground, and everyone can enjoy the games room with table tennis, table football, pinball and billiards, the boules courts, theme evenings and a well stocked library. Cyclists are especially welcome here, with a secure bike shelter, repair kit and bike rental on site.

A bridge takes you straight onto the Avenue Verte, a car free route between Paris and London, so you can cycle the 8 km to Dieppe and its beaches, harbour and castle museum, or carry on to the ferry. Right next door, the Varenne leisure lake offers canoeing, kayaking, catamaran, windsurf, paddle boarding, a climbing wall and archery.

Further afield, the cliffs of Étretat, the old town and cathedral of Rouen and the Bocasse amusement park are all easy days out.

Check in from 15:00 and check out before 10:00. Late arrivals are possible if you let the campsite know in advance. For mobile homes a refundable deposit of 200 € plus an 80 € cleaning deposit is taken at arrival. Tourist tax and the local household waste tax are charged per adult. Pets are welcome with an up to date vaccination record. Wifi is free in the common areas.
