Flower Camping L'Ile d'Offard

Flower Camping L'Île d'Offard is a four star campsite on a green island in the Loire, surrounded by the river on both sides and only a 15 minute walk from the centre of Saumur. The five hectare site has more than 200 shaded pitches and a wide choice of rentals, from mobile homes and wooden lodges on stilts to canvas tents.

The heated outdoor pool looks out over Saumur castle and has a paddling pool and water games for little ones. The wellness area with hammam, sauna and a hot tub for up to six people can be booked privately for 50 minute sessions. The restaurant, snack and bar serves burgers, pizzas, salads and local wines, with takeaway too. There are playgrounds, an inflatable, a multisport court, archery, boules, table tennis, table football, billiards and a games room, plus a kids club for 4 to 12 year olds and evening entertainment in high season. WiFi covers the whole campsite.

Saumur, a town of art and history, is right next door with its castle, the Cadre Noir riding school and many wine cellars. The campsite sits on the Loire à Vélo cycle route and has bike hire, so it is easy to ride through the Saumur Champigny vineyards and along the river. Canoeing and paddle boarding are about 7 km away, and the Bioparc zoo at Doué la Fontaine about 15 km. The châteaux of the Loire, Angers and Brézé castle are within easy reach.

Pitches are available from 14:00 and must be left by 11:00. Rentals are available from 16:00 and must be left between 08:00 and 10:00.

The entrance barrier works with a code from 07:00 to 23:00; late arrivals can park just outside the campsite.

A deposit of 300 euro is required on arrival for rentals.

The heated pool is open from May to September, from 09:00 to 19:00 and until 20:00 in high season, and is for campers only.

Dogs are welcome under conditions, so please contact the campsite before arrival.

Bed linen, towels, a baby kit and barbecues can be rented at reception.

Tourist tax is not included in the price.

There are electric car charging points at the campsite.
