Fossen Camping

In a sheltered bay in the beautiful Gullmarsfjord between lush beech forests in a classic Bohuslän setting you will find Fossen Camping. With its beautiful wide views, softly rounded cliffs and mighty grassy areas with space for both camping and fun for the kids, this is a paradise for campers. There's something for everyone.

The campsite has over 50 camping pitches, 5 fully equipped cabins, over 200 seasonal pitches with sea views and fantastic green areas for tents. This is a campsite with a high level of service in all areas.

There are two service centres equipped with all the facilities you could possibly need for a comfortable holiday, one of which has a sauna.

Fossen Camping offers a child-friendly, shallow beach, but also bathing from classic Bohemian rocks. There is a jetty at the harbour. A summer favourite with children, the campsite's biggest draw, there is access to playgrounds, a ball field, boules and other fun activities in the area.

If you want to barbecue, there is access to a barbecue area. At the campsite there is also a miniature camping equipment and freshly baked bread every morning. If you need to supplement something that is not available in the service shop, you can certainly find it in the nearby TORP shopping centre, which offers over 85 shops.

The area around the campsite is surrounded by cosy swimming bays and bathing jetties, trails and paths in forests and fields and large grassy areas that invite you to play and adventure.

If you live here, you are close to Lysekil. In Lysekil you are greeted by forests, mountains, open landscapes and a rich archipelago. You can fill your visit with everything from nature and cultural experiences, swimming and boating, events, entertainment and fishing. Lysekil is a true summer town.

You can also visit Smögen, which is perhaps the most famous tourist destination that the west coast has to offer. People come here from all over the world to experience the cool boat traffic, shop in the cosy little shops or just stroll around and soak up the wonderful atmosphere that prevails here during the summer.

Of course, once you are here, you must not miss eating Smögen prawns and other seafood. In Smögen they taste at their best. Havets hus, Nordens Ark, Vitlycke, Marstrand Fortress, Bohus Fortress, the Nordic Watercolour Museum and a host of other attractions can be visited on day trips when you stay here. Everything is less than an hour away from the campsite.

The campsite is mainly aimed at families, which means that you must be of legal age to book a place here. Minors are not allowed to stay here without a guardian.

The campsite is open between 15 April and 15 September, with full service from mid-June to the end of August.

The campsite is adapted for people with reduced mobility. Dogs are welcome on the site but are not allowed on the beach.

We have a recommended age limit of 23 years for accommodation at Fossen Camping, as we are a family campsite. However, this age recommendation does not apply to families with children.
