Via Roma 14
33099 Vivaro
Gelindo dei Magredi is a peaceful country resort and working farm in Vivaro, in the heart of the Friulian countryside of northeastern Italy. Located at Via Roma 14, just north of Pordenone, the property covers approximately 15 hectares, combining rural accommodation, restaurants, farming areas, vineyards, orchards, gardens, an agricamping area, equestrian facilities, and spaces dedicated to outdoor relaxation. It is an ideal choice for travellers who want to combine a comfortable camping holiday with authentic farm life and the beautiful landscapes of Friuli Venezia Giulia.
The agricamping area is a quiet green oasis within the estate, surrounded by the open countryside of the Magredi. The camping area provides a choice of pitches suitable for motorhomes, campervans, caravans, and camping equipment. Pitches are designed to blend into the rural environment, with grassy areas and natural shade creating a pleasant setting for relaxing outdoors. Practical facilities for motorhome and caravan travellers include electricity, drinking water, fresh-water supply, and wastewater disposal. Night lighting and unrestricted entry and exit also make the campsite convenient for travellers arriving as part of a longer road trip.
There is much more to enjoy than simply a place to park. Guests can make use of the property's outdoor swimming pools during the summer season, while the wider estate provides plenty of opportunities to experience the countryside. The farm includes vineyards, organic and traditional orchards, vegetable gardens, cultivated fields, pastures, and animals, creating an authentic working-farm atmosphere. Families can discover the educational farm and its hands-on activities, while horse lovers can take advantage of the Magredi Equestrian Centre, with riding facilities and opportunities to experience the countryside on horseback.
Food is also an important part of the experience. The property has restaurants serving regional cuisine, with ingredients including products grown or raised on the family farm. Guests can also discover local food and wine through the farm shop, while the estate's wine cellar and agricultural production add another dimension to the stay.
For cyclists, the property offers a particularly attractive base for exploring the Magredi landscape. The estate provides secure bicycle storage, covered areas, e-bike charging, a small repair workshop, bicycle washing facilities, and luggage storage.
Gelindo dei Magredi is therefore more than a conventional campsite: it is a chance to stay on a living farm, surrounded by nature, local food, horses, open landscapes, and the mountains of the Friulian Dolomites.

The location of Gelindo dei Magredi is particularly appealing for travellers who want to explore the countryside, historic towns, mountain landscapes, and food-and-wine traditions of Friuli Venezia Giulia. The property is situated inside the Magredi area, a distinctive open grassland landscape at the foothills of the Friulian Dolomites, shaped by the Cellina, Meduna, and Colvera rivers. The landscape is especially attractive for walking, cycling, photography, and simply enjoying the wide-open views.
Several attractions are within easy reach. Maniago is approximately 11 km away, known for its knife-making tradition, Knife Museum, historic centre, cathedral, and blacksmithing heritage. Spilimbergo is around 13 km away, offering its historic centre, castle, and famous mosaic tradition. Valvasone is approximately 13 km away, making it a good choice for visitors interested in medieval architecture.
For shopping, restaurants, cafés, museums, and a larger town atmosphere, Pordenone is around 19 km away. The city offers a historic centre, arcaded streets, museums, shopping, the Noncello riverside, and traditional taverns.
Nature lovers can venture farther into the Friulian Dolomites. Frisanco and Poffabro are about 20 km away, while Andreis and Barcis are approximately 26 km away, with Lake Barcis and mountain scenery providing opportunities for outdoor exploration. Polcenigo, also around 26 km away, is known for its historic centre and the sources of the Livenza.
There is no need to travel to the coast for a beach-focused day either: the property's own suggested itineraries extend toward Lignano and the Adriatic, while Cornino and Ragogna, approximately 35 km away, offer a riverside beach along the Tagliamento.
Gelindo dei Magredi is best suited to travellers who appreciate a quieter, rural camping environment rather than a large traditional holiday park. The agricamping is integrated into a working farm, so guests can expect an authentic countryside atmosphere surrounded by agricultural land, animals, vineyards, orchards, and open landscapes.
The current agricamping area has 18 recently renovated pitches. The numbered pitches have a mixed grass-and-concrete surface, while pitches marked “W” have a fully grassed surface. Additional partially equipped areas may be available on request, depending on availability. The campsite provides electricity, drinking water, fresh-water loading, wastewater disposal, and night lighting.
The outdoor swimming pools are available during the summer season, with access subject to the property's applicable arrangements. Other shared spaces at the Benandanti Lodge and Casa Rossa may also be available according to arrangements with reception.
The estate is particularly appealing to families and active travellers because there is plenty to do without leaving the property. You can discover the educational farm, meet the farm animals, enjoy the swimming pool in summer, explore the grounds by bicycle, or arrange horse-related experiences at the equestrian centre. The farm's restaurants and shop also mean you can enjoy local produce without needing to travel far for food and drink.
For cyclists, the property is exceptionally well equipped, with secure bicycle parking, covered storage, e-bike charging, a basic repair area, bike washing facilities, and luggage storage.
If you're looking for a farm campsite in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a convenient motorhome stop near Pordenone, or a relaxing base for exploring the Friulian Dolomites, Gelindo dei Magredi offers a distinctive combination of camping, local gastronomy, nature, and genuine rural hospitality.
