Welcome to Graddis Fjellstue, which is located in the middle of Nordland's best hiking terrain, with many popular hiking trails all year round. Graddis fjellstue is the oldest tourist establishment in Saltdal, going all the way back to 1867, when the first buildings were built in the area. Today, Graddis Fjellstue is a mountain camp with a campsite for caravans, motorhomes, tents and cabins. The site is now run by the 5th generation of the same family

HISTORY GRADDIS FJELLSTUE

Graddis-Fjellstue is located in Nordland in Saltdal municipality. At the top past Junkerdal and approx. 432 meters above sea level and approx. 4 km from the Swedish border and is the municipality's oldest tourist enterprise. The first settlement on the site is dated to 1867. The settlement at Graddis is linked to the establishment of a mountain lodge for travelers between Norway and Sweden. ran the place. The name Graddis is Sami and means "the place under the big ravine". The first mountain lodge was built by the state in 1872, and the current mountain lodge was completed in 1951. The drivers have for all these years had to "fend for themselves" and therefore engaged in both animal husbandry, forestry and hunting and fishing.

There has also been a customs station, telegraph station, metrological weather station and shuttle station on the site.

Fjellstua was a natural accommodation and starting point for the trade between Norway and Sweden, before the Central Road (Riksvei 77, Graddisveien) was completed in 1974

We have 50 places for caravans and mobile homes, both for those who want a fixed place for all or part of the year, and for those who want a shorter stay in quiet surroundings. All fields have an electrical connection. If you want to spend the night in a tent, we have plenty of space for you

In the sanitary facilities at the camp you will find showers and toilets. There is also wifi in the Grillhuset.

You can also rent our simple camping cabins. Toilet and shower room are in the sanitary facility next door. The annex building is on the side of the mountain lodge and has 3 rooms with a total of 10 beds and a separate kitchen. There are toilets and showers in the sanitary facility next door.

We also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to order in our large barbecue hut

We are open all year round! We also have 1 motorhome for hire, which we can deliver to you to the nearest airport, railway station and boat landing in Salten.

The motorhome is fully equipped with everything you need for kitchen equipment.
