Gullmarsbadens Camping

Gullmarsbadens Camping is the centrally located campsite with everything you could possibly need for a successful holiday experience. The campsite is located in beautiful surroundings with both forest and sea as its nearest neighbours. You'll even find your own beach right next to the campsite.

Everyone is welcome at this campsite, regardless of whether they have a camping licence or not. The site offers pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents.

The campsite is located in the beautiful northern part of Bohuslän, only 2.5 km from the lively town of Lysekil.

The campsite has a long history that takes us all the way back to the 1950s and has since developed into a beautiful oasis on the west coast. If you are lucky, you can get one of the more exclusive pitches on the site with a direct sea view of Gullmarsfjorden.

At Gullmarsbaden's campsite you will find a simple but functional service building with showers and toilets and the possibility of cooking. In addition, the reception has a mini-living room where you will find the most essential during your stay.

2.5 km from the campsite you will find the coastal town of Lysekil. Lysekil, also known as the "City by the Sea", is found at the far end of the beautiful Bohuslän west coast, where the Gullmarsfjord is open to the sea. The beautiful archipelago environment together with a very active city life and outdoor life makes this a very popular destination.

In 2019, Lysekil was named Sweden's most camper-friendly municipality. This is of course due to the beautiful surroundings and that there are several, both private and municipal, sites and campsites in the area. Central, close to the sea and beautifully located in nature's most beautiful places.

Lysekil originates from an old fishing community but today offers activities and experiences for the whole family. Here you'll find everything from charming, well-preserved neighborhoods from the past, to cold bath houses and even an aquarium.

When you get tired of wandering around all the cafés and restaurants offering seafood, we recommend a visit to the Aquarium: House of the Sea. In this well-maintained and beautiful tunnel aquarium you can see spiny sharks, sea eels, starfish and much more. If you are even more adventurous, you will also find activities such as climbing, diving and fishing trips.

As evening falls, you can rent a sea kayak and watch the sunset in concert with the salty atmosphere and enjoy the city skyline.

When you are done with Lysekil, you can also go to several cozy places from here. A hot tip is the ferry that takes you across the Gullmarsfjord and finally leads to Skaftölandet. Here you will find small picturesque communities such as Fiskebäckskil and Grundsund.

Other popular excursion destinations that you do not want to miss during your stay are the rock carvings located just outside Brastad, the beautiful Härnäset that you find where the Brofjord and Åbyfjord meet, Röe Gård located in Brodalen and the climbing-friendly cliffs in Träleberg and Lyse.

Gullmarsbadens camping is a summer facility with staffed opening hours from mid-June to mid-August (09:00-22:00). From mid-August to the end of August there is limited staffing at the facility (12:00-18:00).
