Hallingparken - Sentrumsnær hytte- og bobilpark

The main attraction in Hallingparken is Gol Stavkirke. A copy of the stave church was built in 1980 and was consecrated by the bishop of Tunsberg in 1994. The original stave church stood high and free on the mountainside, while the copy was built as a lighthouse in the center of Gol. The copy of Gol Stavkirke is a beautiful wooden temple with a magical atmosphere.

The Viking Longhouse Valhall has exhibitions about the Norse gods, where tableaus and figures describe some of the Vikings' gods. King Hadding's Graveyard shows exhibitions and information about Vikings, trolls and tusks, as well as superstitions and legends from Gol that have influenced people's lives. You can also visit the Hahaugtroll's home, a small cave under the ground, and the Elf House where mechanical elves work with the Christmas presents.

According to the legend, King Hadding and his sons ruled in Hallingdal before Harald Hårfagre. It is said that there was a battle between the two sons of King Hadding in Gol, and that one fell. That's why you can visit King Hadding's Tomb in Gordarike, which is an exhibition about Vikings and legends from Gol.

Hallingparken - Sentrumsnær cottage and mobile home park in Gol offers free parking, a seasonal outdoor pool and a spa center and is close to Gol Stavkirke. The place is also close to Tropicana Badeland, while a 25-minute walk takes you to Lift A.
