An ancient and beautiful excursion destination near Kalmar camping that you absolutely must not miss is of course Kalmar Castle. Imagine a real castle right in the centre of Kalmar. When visiting Kalmar Castle, you can learn all about the history behind the castle and take part in several exciting exhibitions.

In Kalmar's lovely city centre, not far from Kalmar camping, you immediately feel that this is a place with a lot of history on its shoulders. The cobbled streets and the very well-preserved buildings from the 17th century create an incredibly beautiful contrast to all the shops, restaurants, malls and other attractions that the city offers.

Kalmar is also only 15 miles away from beautiful Öland. Take a day trip or why not stay a night or two to enjoy the island's cultural heritage and beautiful nature.

Kalmar Camping is open from the end of March to the end of September. Full service is available from the first of June to the middle of August. If you come during the low season, just call Kalmar camping and they will help you on site.
