Eckerö - Käringsunds Camping

Our campsite was established in 1960 and has been proudly run by three generations of the same family ever since. Käringsunds Camping is located next to the idyllic fishing village of Käringsund in Eckerö, on the sunny side of Åland. Parts of the classic TV series Vi på Saltkråkan were filmed here. The campsite is surrounded by beautiful forests, the sea, red granite cliffs and a lovely sandy beach. The beautiful Åland archipelago surrounds Käringsunds Camping, with the sea, forests, red granite cliffs and several lovely sandy beaches just waiting to be explored. Right outside the campsite you will find scenic hiking and cycling trails through the surrounding nature.

The area also offers excellent fishing opportunities, whether from the shoreline rocks or from a rowing boat. Nearby attractions include the Åland Hunting and Fishing Museum, Käringsund Lighthouse, Eckerö Church and the historic fishing harbour of Käringsund, where parts of the classic TV series Vi på Saltkråkan were filmed.

There are also several restaurants close by, and we are happy to recommend excursions, activities and sights for visitors of all ages.

The Eckerö Line ferry terminal is only 2.5 km from the campsite by car or 1.6 km via the scenic walking path.

The campsite is also just 30 minutes from Mariehamn and less than one hour's drive from the Port of Långnäs.
