KARÖN 13
372 73 Ronneby
Karön holiday village is located on the idyllic island of Karön in the Ronneby archipelago - often called the pearl of Blekinge. The island is completely car-free and is easily reached by a short boat trip from Ekenäs, just a few minutes from the mainland. Here you are greeted by tranquillity, sea breezes and lush oak hills - a place created for recovery, nature experiences and time together.
The cottage village consists of 15 charming cottages close to the sea, all surrounded by greenery and a short distance from both the beach and footpaths. Each cottage has 3-4 beds, making them perfect for families, couples or friends who want to experience archipelago life up close. One of the cabins is accessible with 2 beds, so that even guests with special needs can enjoy their stay.
The cottages have basic kitchen facilities such as a microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee maker. Outside each cottage there is a private patio with the opportunity to barbecue and enjoy the summer evenings in the fresh sea air. For social meals and fellowship, there are also communal barbecue areas around the property.
Guests have access to a service building with a common living room, kitchen, shower, toilet and laundry facilities. There is also space to socialise, cook together or read a book on quiet days. Pets are allowed, making it easy to bring the whole family - even the four-legged ones.
Karön holiday village has a natural and relaxed focus. There are no cars or traffic noise, just birdsong, the sound of the sea and the smell of summer meadows. The proximity to Restaurant Karön, with its well-known cuisine and sea view, makes the experience complete. Guests come here to unwind, swim, walk and enjoy archipelago life in its most genuine form.

The location on Karön makes the stay something very special. The island is located in the centre of the Ronneby archipelago, surrounded by small islands, rocks and bays - a place that offers both tranquillity and activity. Just a few hundred metres from the cottage village is Karön's bathing area, a child-friendly and shallow sandy beach that attracts both bathers and sun lovers during the summer.
There are well-kept walking paths around the island, winding through oak hills and out to cliffs with miles of sea views. For many, this is the highlight - an evening walk at sunset along the path with a view of Ekenäs and the islands of the archipelago.
Right by the ferry terminal is Restaurant Karön, a popular summer oasis where you can enjoy well-prepared food with local ingredients and a fantastic sea view. The restaurant has a long history and is today a popular destination for both boaters and visitors from the mainland.
When you want to explore more of Blekinge, there are several options. From Karön, there are regular boats to Ekenäs, where you'll find Villa Vassen - a restaurant with lunch and bistro in a beautiful merchant's villa by the sea. From there it's just a short trip into Ronneby town centre, where you can visit Ronneby Brunnspark, small shops, cafés and cultural attractions.
Karön's location also makes it easy to experience the rest of the Blekinge archipelago - from Tjärö and Hanö to coastal towns like Karlshamn and Karlskrona. This is truly the gateway to all the experiences of the Blekinge archipelago.
As Karön is a car-free island, you can get here by boat from Ekenäs harbour, just outside Ronneby. The boat journey takes just a few minutes and departures are regular during the summer season. For guests arriving by car, free parking is available in Ekenäs, near the ferry terminal.
It is a good idea to pack lightly and practically for your stay, as all transport to the cottages is on foot from the pier. The holiday village is within walking distance of the swimming area and restaurant, and most of the cottages have a view of the sea or forest.
The service building is centrally located in the area and is shared between guests. It has showers, toilets, kitchen, washing machine and common areas. Bed linen, towels and final cleaning are not normally included in the basic price, so please check this when booking.
As Karön is a natural island without shops, it is wise to buy food and supplies before departure from the mainland. Restaurant Karön is open during the summer season and offers both lunch and dinner, but during the off-season it may be a good idea to plan your own meals.
Thanks to its location in the middle of the archipelago, Karön's holiday village is a perfect place for those looking for tranquillity, nature and a genuine Swedish summer feeling. Here you can experience the freedom of a car-free environment, the proximity to the sea and the feeling of being far away - even though you are only a few minutes from the mainland.
