Imagine sleeping beneath a star-filled sky in a transparent dome, cradled by rolling hills and the soft breezes of the countryside. At Les Gouttes d’Eau, you can live this dream on an expansive 11-hectare natural estate in the heart of the Quercy Blanc. This secluded retreat has three beautifully designed domes — Comfort, Prestige, and Eden — that combine immersive nature with the peace and plushness of a boutique bed & breakfast.
The Comfort Dome is perfect for couples, with its round, roomy bed, private dry toilets, and a basin. The Prestige Dome welcomes up to four people, offering a cozy lounge/dining area that converts into extra sleeping space, plus a spacious terrace. The Eden Dome is the ultimate getaway: completely isolated, it has its own private jacuzzi so you can soak in serenity under the stars.
Wellness is at the heart of the experience — the shared jacuzzi for Comfort and Prestige domes is available 24/7 so you can relax whenever the mood strikes. If you're staying in the Eden Dome, you have exclusive access to your own spa.
Meals are a highlight: every morning, a lovingly prepared breakfast — sweet or savory depending on your taste — is delivered directly to your dome. Dinner comes as a gourmet basket around early evening, full of locally sourced, homemade flavors, and you can pair it with wines from their curated selection.
Inside your dome, you’ll find electricity and cell signal, but no Wi-Fi — a gentle push to disconnect. For warmth when the nights turn cool, the Comfort and Prestige domes have a wood-burning stove, while the Eden Dome is equipped with a heater. Cozy extras like hot water bottles, extra blankets, and warm duvets are provided to keep you snug.
As you wander the grounds, you may meet some of the friendly animals who live here — llamas, donkeys, and pygmy goats — adding to the charm of this nature-focused escape.
Check-in date
Check-out date
Set in a region steeped in history and natural beauty, Les Gouttes d’Eau is ideally located for exploring the surrounding medieval towns of the Quercy Blanc. You’re just a short drive from Saint-Antonin-Noble-Val, a dramatic town carved into river gorges, where you can stroll charming stone streets or even go canoeing. A little further awaits Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, perched high above the Lot River, with breathtaking views and artisan shops. Venture into the hills to reach Cordes-sur-Ciel, a hilltop citadel known for its architecture and craft boutiques.
If you’re curious about regional centers, you can also plan trips to Cahors, with its picturesque old town and iconic bridge, or Montauban, a lively city of art and history. For the more adventurous, there are hiking trails starting right from the domes: the hosts will lend you a detailed map so you can explore the countryside on foot. And if you enjoy other outdoor activities, you’ll find opportunities for horse riding and even tennis just a few kilometers away.
When you arrive, check-in is relaxed and welcoming, between around 5 PM and 7 PM, and you’ll depart by late morning at 11 AM. The domes are tucked away at the ends of forested paths, so they feel deeply private — especially the Eden Dome, which is completely isolated.
This is an eco-conscious retreat: meals are crafted with organic and local ingredients, and the use of dry toilets reflects a commitment to low-impact living. Inside the domes, because they’re transparent and uninsulated, temperatures shift with the weather. On sunny days, they can warm up, but shade is provided by a parasol. During colder nights, wood fires or heaters plus thoughtful extras (blankets, hot water bottles, warm drinks) keep things cozy.
While you have electricity and mobile signal, there's no Wi-Fi — ideal for unplugging and truly immersing yourself in nature. The hosts will bring breakfast and dinner baskets to your dome, but note: there’s no kitchen, so self-catering is limited.
Bring just your personal belongings — everything else is taken care of, including sheets, towels, and bathrobes. If you're planning walks or hikes, good walking shoes are a must, and depending on the season, warm clothes will help you stay comfortable.
One practical note: pets are not allowed, except for assistance dogs. So it's really an adults’ (or help-dog) escape.
