Maja Camping

If you appreciate calm and peace of mind, you have found the right place at Maja Camping. Our campsite is pretty much in the middle of nowhere way out in the countryside here in Småland, which is exactly how we like it!

In the camping area you will find a nice and fresh service house equipped with 3 toilets, 2 showers and a washroom. Here you will also find a garden with a barbecue area. Absolutely perfect and cozy to grill the purchased sausage or maybe the day's catch from the fishing trip.

The first thing you will be struck by when you enter the campsite is the sense of calm and the absence of city life. Here we are surrounded by nature and the harmony it brings to each of us.

The campsite offers large spaces where children and adults can run around and play. So don't forget to pack your soccer ball and anything else you think is fun.

Outside the camping area, it is excellent to go out and hike or cycle along the many trails and roads that we have here.

Even though we are in the middle of the countryside, there are several interesting sights just around the corner. Here we can recommend Norra Unnaryds Kyrka which was mentioned for the first time as early as 1346 in connection with a bishop's visitation. Inside the church you can see beautiful paintings and art as well as an altarpiece from 1664! Haralds Kvarn and Åremma Kvarn is another must see if you are in the area. Within 15 km you also have several nature reserves such as Kallenäs Nature Reserve, Krakhultabäckens Nature Reserve and Komosse SNF - reserve.

Here we must also mention Stora Mosse National Park, which is southern Sweden's largest marsh area that directly brings to mind the mountain world. Not to mention all the berries and mushroom picking that the wonderful nature here has to offer!

Should the desire fall on experiencing the big city pulse, Jönköping is only about 38 km away. The city has lots and lots more to offer its visitors. A must-see if you are in Jönköping is actually the match museum which is the only one in the world! This may not sound very interesting at first but we promise you will never look at matches the same way again.

Another must see in Jönköping is the amazing city park. From the park you have a great view of the entire city and the park is also full of areas where children can play and adults can cozy up with their picnic basket by their side.

Another must-see in Jönköping is the Sofia Church, which dates back to the 19th century. From an architect's perspective, the church is absolutely fantastic both inside and out.

The campsite has free WiFi and free private parking. The entire camping area is non-smoking. Pets are accepted on request and there are no extra costs for this.
