Moncontour Active Park – Terres de France is a 3-star lakeside campsite and holiday park. Set directly on the shores of a 10-hectare leisure lake, this eco-friendly nature campsite offers a peaceful countryside atmosphere while placing guests within easy reach of some of western France’s most famous attractions.
The park features 85 spacious camping pitches for tents, caravans, and motorhomes, along with 10 fully equipped chalets (27–35 m²) and 13 villas, creating a well-balanced holiday destination suitable for campers and cottage guests alike. The chalets accommodate up to 6 people and include a 12 m² private terrace with garden furniture. Each rental unit has its own parking space, and a communal car park at the entrance allows for additional vehicles.

Moncontour Active Park enjoys a strategic location in the Vienne (86), placing you between some of France’s most iconic attractions.
The campsite is located in the countryside, offering tranquility, yet essential amenities can be found in the village of Moncontour and nearby towns. You’ll find local restaurants, bakeries, cafés, and small shops within a short drive. Larger supermarkets and additional services are available in nearby towns such as Loudun (approx. 20 minutes).
The surrounding area is ideal for cycling, hiking, and discovering the southern Loire Valley’s vineyards and historic architecture. The region combines rural charm with cultural richness, making it easy to alternate relaxing lake days with day trips to castles, theme parks, and historic towns.
Moncontour Active Park is open from April to October, and access to the leisure lake is included in your accommodation or camping stay. However, some water-based activities such as the water ski lift may involve additional charges.
Supervised swimming is available during July and August, while the leisure park operates seasonally (April to September). Outside peak summer weeks, the atmosphere is especially calm and nature-focused — ideal for guests seeking quiet relaxation.
