Nedre Målselvfossen Holiday Centre is idyllically located on the banks of the mighty Målselva River, right in the heart of Troms County in Northern Norway. Only 15 minutes from Bardufoss and the E6, this family-friendly holiday centre offers a varied and eventful stay for both young and old.
The facility is perfect for both caravans, motorhomes and tents, with well-designed pitches with electricity, drainage and water points nearby. There are also several cozy cabins in various sizes for those who want a little extra comfort. The sanitary facilities are modern and functional, with a washing machine, dryer, kitchen area and emptying station for chemical toilets.
A major highlight for families with children is the heated outdoor swimming pool with a water slide, as well as a playground, bouncy castle and jumping pillow. During the summer season, dance evenings, festivals and social gatherings are organized in the restaurant, including well-known events such as the Country Festival, the Dance Band Festival, the Blues Festival and the Singles Festival.
For fishing enthusiasts, this is a paradise. The Målselva is one of Norway's best salmon rivers, and in the lower part there is also a great population of sea trout. Here you get close to nature, quiet surroundings and experiences for the whole family.

The area around Nedre Målselvfossen offers beautiful nature experiences and exciting activities all year round. Just a 15-minute drive away you will find Bardufoss, with shops, restaurants and an airport. For those who like to swim, a visit to Polarbadet is recommended, while animal lovers can head to Polar Zoo – Europe's northernmost animal park.
In winter, there are great cross-country skiing trails, and in summer you can go on summit hikes to nearby mountains such as Istind, or enjoy a quiet fishing trip along the riverbank. Målselvfossen is an attraction in itself – named Norway’s national waterfall, and famous for its salmon staircase that stretches a full 385 meters through the mountain.
The holiday centre is open all year round and is easily accessible by car, plane or boat. It is only a 12-minute drive from Bardufoss Airport, and approximately 45 km from Finnsnes Harbour for those arriving by Hurtigruten. The site is suitable for both short stops and longer holidays.
It is recommended to book cabins and pitches in advance during high season. Dogs are welcome, and there is plenty of space and activities for both children and adults. Here you will have a holiday filled with nature experiences, northern Norwegian culture and true holiday peace.
