Öje Ogströmmens Camping

Öje Turistgård is located in western Dalarna with the magical Ogströmmen lake right next to the campsite. Our campsite with hostel is located in Öje, a small idyllic town between Mora and Malung. Here you have all the best Dalarna has to offer just a stone's throw away. The hostel is also open all year round so you are welcome to experience Dalarna with us in any season.

The hostel has a total of 35 beds with 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-bed rooms. The hostel is consistently in good and fresh condition!

You will also find:

• Shower and WC adjacent to the rooms

We also have pitches with or without electricity, and a camping site.

We also have a marina for small boats within the grounds, as well as large areas for playing kubb and other games!

The surroundings of Öje Ogströmmens Camping are simply a dream for outdoor activities, and one could hardly wish for a better landscape.

For those who wish to hike, there are approximately 50 km of hiking trails in Öje, where perhaps the most popular is the one that takes you to the Gnupen Nature Reserve, where you pass through 4 km of untouched forest. Finally, you will find yourself at 657 metres above sea level and, in good weather, you can see all the way to Mora, 52 km away.

There are also mile after mile of cycling trails, most suitable for mountain bikes. Several of the routes follow the Ogströmmen, and with a bit of luck you may see both elk and bear.

Öje Ogströmmens Camping offers a 9 km long fishing stretch that is largely unspoilt nature, without wind shelters or other picnic areas. In the Ogströmmen, Grayling and Trout are the main species you can fish for. In Lake Öjensjön, which also lies directly adjacent to the campsite, Perch and Pike are the main species you can fish for.

We also offer canoe rental. Here you can paddle on Lake Öjensjön.

During the winter season, we clear tracks on Lake Öjensjön for cross-country skiing and ice skating. There are many bays and islands to explore even in winter!

In the immediate vicinity you will also find Vålberget, where there is a mountain pasture dating from the 17th century, with a beautiful view over Lake Öjesjön. The distance to the mountain pasture is approximately 7 km.

Here you will also find Öje Chapel from 1830, Gallery Öje and more. Please feel free to ask us for further recommendations and hidden gems. Do not forget to also visit the numerous smaller villages in the area. Each village has its own unique story to tell.

The nearest larger town is Malung, approximately 17 km from the campsite. Öje Ogströmmens Camping is located next to the European route E45.
