Paradiset i Dalarna

Welcome to Paradiset in Dalarna. Here you will find a log cabin with a double bed with a magnificent view of the forest and lake. Fully glazed double doors let in the evening light when the sun sets over the water. Complete outdoor kitchen. Right next door there is also a hot shower and fresh toilet.

By appointment, guests have access to the wood-fired sauna, wood-fired hot tub ("hot tube") by the beach, boat, canoe, floating dock with electric motor, etc. Barbecue and fireplace at the beach. Patio on own wooden deck.

A rustic, secure location. This must be experienced!

The robust log cabin is situated in a scenic location, just 20 meters from the lake. Here is the patio, the jetty with bathing ladder, sauna, hot tub and fire basket with barbecue. Boat etc. is included in the rent. Sunset over the lake!

The rent also includes that you can freely dispose of a rowing boat and canoe. In addition, there is a raft bridge with an electric motor for a nice, quiet trip across the water. The raft is well suited for fishing and equipped with furniture, a fireplace for grilling, etc. The cottage guest also has, by agreement, access to the wood-fired hot tub and an exclusive wood-fired sauna directly on the beach.

On the old mill property there are a total of a dozen timbered buildings, which give the farm the character of a genuine valley environment in 19th century style. Enskvarn is like its own little village in the middle of the forest. Here is peace and quiet, but only a quarter of a car ride from central Rättvik. 200 meters away there is another bathing place at the beautiful water lily covered mill pond, upstream of Enskvarn.

Good perch and pike fishing in the lake (fishing license required). Fine rainbow water is found in a forest lake at 15 minutes walking distance (1,000 meters). A beautiful river runs through the lakeside, beautiful forest landscape, as well as a charming canal. The area is very scenic and rich in birds. Over 100 species of birds have been observed here.

In the immediate vicinity there are several small lakes and streams with good fishing, including grayling and noble fishing waters. The terrain is varied with many walking and forest trails. (Siljansleden connects). Good berry and mushroom fields.

In the immediate area around Övre- and Nedre Gärdsjö there are many cultural attractions and places to visit. The nearest grocery store and gas station is in Boda Kyrkby 7 km north along road 301.

We have 15 min drive to Classic Car week, Music at Siljan, Dalhalla and other major events. The hosts speak English and German.

The cottage is preferably booked Sunday-Sunday. It is available from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival and must be left no later than 11 a.m. on the day of departure, when the cottage must also be cleaned.

The host provides household and toilet paper, detergent, cleaning agents, cleaning equipment, etc. Sleeping bags, blankets and pillows are available. Guests bring their own bed linen and towels.
