Between Kiruna and Gällivare, beautifully located in the northern countryside, surrounded by forests, mountains and nature, you will find 2 caravan/caravan sites in an old meadow next to Piilijärvi Camping. Here is a hospitality and relaxed atmosphere you will find difficult to find elsewhere.

There are 2 pitches without electricity for motorhomes and caravans. There is no access to a service building or other facilities at Piilijärvi Camping, as these pitches are not part of Piilijärvi Camping's offer but are rented by private landowners.

However, it is possible to book a sauna at Piilijärvi Camping subject to availability.

Since it is an old meadow, there may be holes in the ground after old stones that have been removed; however, there are Indian tufts in the meadow and an old meadow has the charm of many flowers and polar plants in the meadow.

To get to the sites, drive to Piilijärvi Camping and they will guide you to your site.

During the summer, six cottages of different standards and sizes are available for rent at Piilijärvi Camping; all residents have a private parking lot right outside the door and a private furnished patio with a lake view.

The service building just around the corner has both shower and toilet, these are not included when staying on one of the pitches.

There is also a wood-fired beach sauna where you can end your days together with a dip in the lake, subject to availability.

The cultural history of Piilijärvi characterizes the entire operation. The revered and mythical needle Piili-Einari and the gunpowder man Eva-Lisa are just some of the historical riches of Piilijärvi. So are the Stone Age remains.

Piilijärvi Camping is open all year round. Depending on when you visit the campsite, the range of accommodation types is different. Parts of the campsite are adapted for the disabled. The entire area is non-smoking. Dogs are allowed on the site.

The nearest airport is Kiruna Airport, 60 km from the campsite. The nearest grocery store is in Svappavaara (16.5 km) and Skaulo (18 km). We therefore recommend buying everything you might need for your stay.

To Kiruna it is 62.6 km and to Gällivare it is 64.7 km.
