🏕️ River Camping in the Malingsbo-Kloten Nature Reserve

Discover River Camping Sweden - a peaceful, intimate, riverside camp right in the heart of the Malingsbo-Kloten Nature Reserve. The campsite is located in the small village of Nyfors, 10 km north of Kloten. Here, you stay close to nature in a picturesque little village with a Bullerby feeling.

🚰 Facilities

The campsite features a swimming area, a jetty, and a small sandy beach in a scenic and peaceful setting, suitable for both relaxation and active days in the wilderness. For your convenience, the campsite offers modern amenities, including toilets, electricity, showers, drinking water, grey water disposal, and a sheltered dishwashing station. You can gather around several outdoor fireplaces for cosy evenings, fully unwind in our on-site sauna, and rent canoes, kayaks, and SUP-boards to explore the pristine waterways.

🛶 Outdoor life and activities

River Camping is the perfect base for those who want to experience nature at their own pace. From here, you are close to excellent opportunities for canoeing, cycling, fishing, and hiking in one of Bergslagen’s most appreciated wilderness areas.

The area offers long canoe trails, scenic cycling routes, and hiking opportunities in magnificent natural surroundings. Canoes, kayaks, and SUP-boards are available for rent at the campsite for those who want to get close to nature and experience the lakes and waterways from the best possible perspective.

The rapids flowing out of the lake, just a stone’s throw from the campsite, also offer great opportunities for fly fishing in scenic surroundings.

The campsite is operated by Nordic Discovery’s Adventure Center in the village of Kloten, 10 km south of the campsite. There you will find souvenirs, postcards, ice cream, soft drinks, and candy, as well as the option to rent kayaks, rowboats, mountain bikes, and detailed maps. Nordic Discovery also offers several accommodation options, moose safaris, beaver safaris, and guided canoe and kayak tours.

Camping with caravans and motorhomes is prohibited at all locations in the Malingsbo-Kloten Nature Reserve, except at organized campsites. River Camping is one such organized campsite.
