Welcome to Ryda Gård – a scenic and tranquil gem on the shores of Lake Åsunden in southern Östergötland. Here, idyllic rural surroundings, genuine Swedish hospitality and modern comforts come together in a unique combination. The farm is beautifully situated in the small village of Nedre Ryda, where the houses line up as in Astrid Lindgren’s Bullerbyn, and where the view over the lake is as magical as the serenity of the landscape.

For those travelling with a motorhome or caravan, the farm offers 12 spacious pitches with electricity, located in a peaceful, verdant setting close to the water. The farm also features a sauna, the possibility to swim in Åsunden’s clear waters, as well as boat rental for those wishing to experience the lake at close range.

There is a service building with toilets, showers, a small kitchen and facilities for grey water disposal. On the way out from the farm there is a refuse room with a green door on the left-hand side, opposite the large barn.

The owners live in the large yellow house on the left side of the small gravel road leading down to the pitches. They are happy to help with any questions, or if you wish to borrow the sauna, washing machine or rent a boat, etc.

Ryda Gård also offers on-site accommodation in five charming houses, each with its own character and high standard. The houses are fully equipped with self-catering kitchens, shower, toilet, Wi-Fi and private patios with beautiful views. The larger houses – Sörgården, Mellangården and Storstugan – each have 5–7 beds and are ideal for families or friends travelling together. The smaller house, Gäststugan, has 4 beds, while Lillstugan has 2 small bedrooms, a sauna and a cosy layout for the smaller party. Ryda Farm is beautifully situated by the lake Åsunden. The lake offers excellent opportunities for fishing, swimming, paddling and boat trips. There is an abundant stock of pike and zander, and for angling enthusiasts aluminium boats are available for hire – equipped with engine, anchor, life jackets and the option to rent a fish finder or trolling equipment. In the surroundings around the farm, deep forests, blooming meadows and beautiful walking paths await. You can enjoy a peaceful walk along the lake, cycle on winding country roads or visit the small village of Björkfors with the well-frequented café at Valö. At Valö there is also a bathing area with a sandy beach and a diving platform.

For guests with a motorhome or caravan, it is recommended to reserve a pitch in advance during the high season, as demand is high. Maximum 5 people per pitch. Roof tents or a motorhome/caravan with an awning are permitted on one and the same pitch, but if additional tents are to be set up, the booking of two pitches is required.

All pitches are beautifully situated right next to Lake Åsunden. Ryda Gård is ideal for those seeking a peaceful and relaxing stay, and for everyone’s comfort and enjoyment, there should be peace and quiet at the pitches and down by the bathing area.

You are encouraged to pack swimwear, a fishing rod and comfortable shoes, as there is much to experience here. In summer, Lake Åsunden is ideal for swimming and boat trips, and the evenings offer tranquil sunsets over the water. In spring and autumn, the area attracts visitors with fishing, hiking and wilderness experiences. The area around Ryda has a rich natural environment, and you may spot white-tailed eagle, red kite, deer, wild boar and much more.
