Stensjö Camping och Vandrarhem

Stensjö Camping, Vandrarhem & Stugby is a family campsite in western Stensjö in enchanting Blekinge. The campsite is located 30 kilometres north of Karlskrona and is perfect for those who want a child-friendly, cosy campsite and at the same time close to activities outside the area.

At Stensjö Camping you will find 50 camping pitches, 42 of which are equipped with electricity (10 amp). The camping pitches are about 100 square metres in size and are perfect for motorhomes, caravans and tents.

In the area there are two service buildings, in these you will find:

• Kitchen with separate washing-up facilities (outdoor)
• Showers
• Laundry facilities (washing machine and tumble dryer)

For those with motorhomes or caravans, there is a tip for waste water and a water tank site available.

There is also a hostel on site, which can be used for various events, parties and class trips. The campsite also offers food and activity packages. The hostel has a total of 30 beds, kitchenette, bathroom and TV room.

At Stensjö Camping you are always close to peace and quiet. Relax in a deckchair and read a book, or enjoy nature and walk along Lake Alljungen.

There are also several hiking trails and exercise trails of varying sizes, from 3 kilometres up to 12 kilometres. When you're feeling a little more energetic, you can hire a canoe, bike or paddleboard, swim at the campsite's lovely beach or even fly in a helicopter (helicopter tours are organised by the campsite a couple of times during the high season).

If you're a social creature, don't miss the campsite's weekly communal barbecue evenings in high season.

The campsite also organises a range of activities for its younger guests. For example, children can try their hand at:

• Raft building
• Archery
• Building their own boomerang
• Laser tag
• Bake pancakes over an open fire
• 5 games

The campsite also has a volleyball court, mini golf, a table tennis table, a playground, a small sandpit and great swimming opportunities in Lake Alljungen. Alljungen offers perfect bathing water and during the summer months the water temperature is usually between 24-27 degrees.

If you like to fish, you can of course do that too. However, a fishing licence is required (available to buy at reception). A stone's throw from the campsite you will also find a football pitch.

At the reception you can buy basic groceries such as milk, pasta, sauces and tinned food. There are also souvenirs, postcards and ice cream.

If you are keen on breakfast, you can order freshly baked rolls which can then be collected from reception the following day (this needs to be done the night before).

There are also several barbecue areas on the campsite and all guests have access to free WiFi.

Stensjö Camping is located in the middle of the forest, but is also close to the city centre when you get tired of the peace and quiet. A 30-minute drive from the campsite you have Karlskrona, for example, which offers great shopping, cosy restaurants and cafés.

In the city you will also find Blekinge Museum, the Marine Museum and last but not least, the rolling blue sea. Need to do some supplementary shopping or maybe you've forgotten the béarnaise sauce for tonight's barbecue? Don't worry, 8 kilometres from the campsite you'll find Holmsjö and the town's grocery store.
